Restored 1955 Chevrolet Belair Convertible, V8 Auto, Loaded Power Option Car!
For your consideration is a beautifully restored 1955 Chevrolet Belair that is on consignment at Fort Pitt Classic Cars in Pittsburgh PA 15215. Restored only a few years ago, this car functions as good as it looks with less than 10,000 miles since restoration. A very nice restoration has earned this ’55 an important trophy at the oldest Chevrolet Dealership in the US still in operation. The “Cleanest Car Award” was given to the owner for his beautiful Belair at a GM only car show. This car was amongthe nicest cars around and still stood out above and beyond even six figure restorations. The reason...this car was simply done correctly. As a Belairconvertibleloaded with power options, thiscar started out as the "right car" in the first place.
This ’55 has an original 265 V8 and Automatic Powerglide Transmission. The 265 fires up, idles and runs great every time. The transmission goes into gear and shifts perfectly as it should. The only upgrade outside of factory spec is dual exhaust and radial white wall tires. The pipes sound great, fitting to the car, not overly loud. Ran correctly, through the frame, the exhaust is a tasteful upgrade. The 265 could use a new rear main seal as it does tent to drip a tad when the car sits. When the car is being used, it doesn'tappear to have that issue. This could be me being overly sensitivetoo, as a few of these early 265s I have seen do this. Besides that, everything functions as it should. The runs, shifts, drives, stops and handles beautifully! The heat blows hot for spring and fall cruises. Everything works well including the POWER roof all of the lights, indicators and gauges! This car is a dream to drive with its powerful V8, power brakes and power steering! This '55 IS a factory 12v car! No worrying about slow starts or dim lights.
The body is laser straight and the paint is just about flawless. This car is RUST free and the body panels all appearto be OEM. The stainless trim is in close to perfect condition as well. It would be possible for this car to be one of the best at just about any show. It is one of the nicest Tri-5 Chevys around.
Please look at the pictures, ask questions, come look....fly in, drive home etc. The restoration that has been completed is top notch. Trim, bumpers, paint, interior, mechanical, etc is just through the roof nice.
The full size hubcaps are also included. We can help arrange shipping worldwide. You are ultimatelyresponsible for shipping an the costs associated. With that said, we will assist anyway we can with arrangements and pick up.
