1968 Chevrolet Corvette 427 435 horsepower tri power was restored six years ago but shows like a new one. This 68 is all matching numbers has been checked by two Corvette Specialist, engine, transmission, and rear axle are original to this car. The L71 engine is an ir code the trim tag shows it is correct colors. It has a white convertible top and black vinyl covered hard top. The lines on this car are very good the paint is a 10 and the interior is a 9 (very slight wear on drivers seat). The glass is perfect no scratches. Glass fit to top perfect. The brite work is also excellent and the car is always garaged in climate control. The carburetor's are the correct numbers for the car and are believed to be the original. They were rebuilt by Carolina Carburetor and work perfectly. Special options are alarm very few in 68, power steering, 3:55 axle ratio, and most of all an L71 rated at 435hp but believed to be more like 550hp. Everything works on this car, it has been judged in many venues and in its last four Corvette only car shows, has been Best of Show, and Best C3. I have the trophies. The 427 is very correct underhood including air pump, normally discarded, correct cloth belts, correct everything. The only aspect that is a non original feature is the side exhaust and louver trim which I think make the car, easily changed if you prefer. The car has the original 15x7 rallies and redline bias tires. This car is also an AACA national first prize winner and has a Senior award. It was also a National award nominee. These awards will go with the car, along with a book with docs and judging sheets. I have five corvettes this one is my pride and joy but I am retiring and downsizing. Remember you are bidding on a classic loved by his owner not a car lot special or consignment. Seeing this car in person would be great, any questions call Brantley 910 840 0655.
