NOTE: THIS WAS INTENDED TO BE A "CLASSIFIED AD" BUT I COULD NOT GET IT ENTERED THAT WAY DUE TO EBAY RESTRICTIONS ON INDEPENDENT SELLERS. BE ADVISED THAT ALL "BEST OFFERS" BELOW $29K WILL BE REJECTED BY THE SYSTEM (I won't even see them).
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A 67 CAMARO WITH A GREAT COMBINATION OF POWER TO WEIGHT (L30/M20) AND LOADED WITH LOTS OF GENUINE GM 67 OPTIONS TO GET THAT CLASSIC EXPERIENCE, YOU'VE FOUND AN AWSOME EXAMPLE. ITS MODERATELY USED, BUT EVERYTHING IS HERE! If you're seeking raw, bone rattling straight line drag racing power this would not be you're top choice.
NOTE: I KNOW THIS LISTING IS PREMATURE - THE INTENT WAS TO HAVE IT ALL CLEANED / WAXED / DETAILED, ENGINE COMPARTMENT RESTORED WITH CHROME FACTORY COMPONENTS, DISC BRAKE RALLY WHEEL CENTER CAPS INSTALLED, AND MINOR BODYWORK/PAINT ISSUES ADDRESSED BY MY FRIENDS... but if I can sell it at this reduced rate as listed they won't need to be bothered, as the owner of this car I am now physically unable to do any of it.I should be able to get more pics for a serious buyer. The car has been moved to the parking lift for winter storage but its not up yet (my lift requires plugging into a 220 portable generator to operate it... I didn't hardwire it because of its limited requirements to cycle up/down). Those pics in this listing were snapped at various times the last few months by my sister and friends with their phones. Ironically the wax on the vertical surfaces (that are not dust covered) and last applied 33 years ago still shines remarkably well (which also means there are deceptive reflections in many of the pics. There are a couple small chips and scratches, but they are not visible in any of these pics. The body is straight and fits very good. Before getting it painted in 1983 I replaced the door hinge bushings/pins and fitted the doors (which means there is only a couple summers of use on them). We (my dad & I) also paid close attention to fitting the used SS hood I got just before getting the car painted. I'mproud of that aspect of what was done with my teenage inexperience.
Pick up only = Buyer arranges / responsible for all shipping cost.

1967 Camaro L30/M20 with Original Engine, SS/RS Tribute
Loaded with genuine 67 factory options including RARE Headrest (which I keep locked in a padded case in my house)!All original metal (except SS hood) - Stored since 1985. Underbody is rock solid and untouched ever!I purchased this car at the age of 17 in 1983. It has been stored since Fall of 1985 my sophomore year of college. Life has always been too hectic to get it out to play and I had conceded that it would be my retirement pleasure. I was never going to sell it (as it was such a part of me). Unfortunately 8 years ago I had a fluke tragic accident and have been a quadriplegic since.This spring I concluded that there was no point in keeping it and started asking friends to get it down from the storage lift and prepare it to sell.
That turned out to be a major task with all that was stored under it and when finally rolled out it was discovered the brake pedal went to the floor... No way I would risk anything associated with brakes and my friends agreed to replace every component with rubber that could have gone bad (master cylinder, wheel cylinders, flex hoses front and to rear axle, and installed new power brake booster (an upgrade). Pads were all good as I had replaced them in 1984 and probably had less than a 1000 miles on them). This has been all volunteer work as time allowed and was just completed a couple weeks ago.
Additionally, to date an oil/filter change was completed, and a few items to start undoing the tacky engine compartment changes made as a teenager. The incorrect fan shield and fiberglass fan have been replaced with correct fan shroud, OEM fan, and NOS fan clutch. Additional parts on hand to replace include [all chrome] OEM Chevrolet script valve covers, beefier 3 mounting point OEM style alternator bracket and heavy duty alternator, OEM Muncie shift handle, SS 350 horn cap, and a few other items I would not bother to ask my friends to install (and not included with car at this point but could be if still available at time of sale) because they are too much to do like tinted glass, 4 piston disc brakes that need sleeved, etc.
This car was built in LOS (Van Nuys), sold and spent the first 10-15 years in AZ. It was brought to WI in about 1981 by the owner before me who purchased it for his son. He (the father) was a long term Chief of Police in a smaller city near me. Before he gave it to his son the young man got into some legal trouble and his dad refused to give him the car and parked it outside. The car was missing the trunk seal and water made its way in and collected under the trunk matt rusting the bottom of the trunk. Also, either from being stored outside for a least one winter [never driven in snow] or as a result of moisture that entered the trunk some rust holes appeared in the bottom rear part of the drivers side rear quarter aft of the rear wheel. The second major task right after purchasing this car (first was an engine refresh - honed, new rings, bearings, valves lapped, new seals, etc.) was to get a new paint job. The rust on the quarter was removed and holes filled. Looked perfect to me...
NOTE: KEEP IN MIND THAT I WAS JUST 17 YEARS OLD. I was so paranoid the rust could take over I stipulated the body shop had to undercoat the inside of the rear quarters. When I picked up the car they informed me that they were unable to get the undercoating behind the area repaired due to access constraints. That ate at me for the rest of the summer. I decided that fall that the solution was "obviousâ€, what keeps metal from rusting is oil! So when I put it in storage for the winter I slid a catch pan under the quarter and squirted a bunch of oil between the trunk filler panel to inside of quarter panel gap to thoroughly coat the backside of the quarter panel that had been repaired. The assumption was there had to be drainage from the factory that would allow the excess to drip out to the catch pan!.... Nope - I now know that there is a plug that Fisher body must have installed after dipping the body, but even that would assume the front of the body to be elevated to be fully effective. Did not matter, I've never removed that plug and never seen any oil drip out...
WHAT DID HAPPEN IS THE BODY FILLER THAT EXTENDED THROUGH THE SMALL HOLES THAT WERE FILLED WICKED THE OIL AND SWELLED ALL OF IT THAT WAS USED FOR THE REPAIR! THE SIGHT OF SEVERAL BUMPS ON THE RECENTLY REPAIRED AND PAINTED REAR QUARTER MADE ME SICK, BUT THERE WAS NO MONEY TO PRIORITIZE FOR REPAIR.It stayed that way and eventually from road vibration / driving a couple of the bumps broke through. It has to be redone but the critical point is that it's NOT progressing rust despite the appearance.I will send close up pic to all serious potential buyers.
The hideaway headlights worked the last time I tried. The LF would stop part way sometimes, then work after another try or two (bad ground?). These and several other of the options on this car are from another 67 purchased new and converted to a drag car after only 3 years of driving. Most items were removed for weight reduction and stored in original owners basement.
The vast list of options include;
One minor note, Ierredon the Hagerty Valuation roll up and added $100 for the "double hump heads". Those are actually part of the L30 option already accounted for. But I missed a number of miscellaneous options that would offset that error.
If you're an interested / serious buyerI look forward to talking to you(I'm not looking to negotiate as it has been in storage this long so if need be it can remain there). If you're not please keep toyourself (I know many are just looking for examples for "RetroMods", and while this would be a great platform/ solid car for that, the price will be more than you are looking to pay and it would be a a shame to gut this car). Once purchased anybody can do what they want ofcourse, but I really hope that it goes to someone who cherishes thenostalgia and feel of the classic true highly optioned 67 Camaro with a twist of era correct upgrades in keeping with the GM muscle cars that it is...
