Looking sharp and rugged, this 1988 Chevrolet 1500 Cheyenne is ready to pull into its new owner's garage and offer its services to begin new chapters of adventures on the road. Having been thoroughly restored inside and out, it features an unusually large array of new and rebuilt components to provide a great driving experience. It may be 30 years old, but is this ever a vital, road-ready looking truck. And for good reason. Like pretty much everything on board, the Axalta red paint clad over its exterior was applied recently, and the job was done with precision - it's got a great shine and a nice, smooth texture. In front, the grille was restored from scratch and looms with its distinctive pair of dual headlights over a clean, unblemished bumper. A lot of care was taken to look after those details that make such a difference in a finished classic and, as you circle the truck, they're very much in evidence - a number of the exterior emblems were replaced entirely, the seals surrounding the clear glass of the front and rear windshields look fresh as can be and the body alignment of this '88 looks precise. In back, the white panel on the liftgate bears Chevrolet lettering that looks as fresh or fresher than the day this classic first hit the road. The interior has been brought back to life while retaining its original style, featuring a pair of plushly- padded buckets that feel great to sink into as they straddle a fold down armrest sporting a pair of welcome cupholders. Things are looking great throughout the cabin - the carpet lining the floor and the door panels look to have been recently installed and there's a nicely fitted new headliner in place. Behind the updated Chevy steering wheel sitting on its column, the dash area has received the same meticulous treatment and the crystal clear gauges in its instrument cluster are surrounded by a new-looking silver panel and are fully functional. Air conditioning is a welcome feature and the bed area in back is stellar - the wooden planks lining its floor have been thoroughly prepped and finished, and its walls and inner wheel wells are protected by a sturdy liner. Given the condition of the rest of the truck, it's no surprise that the engine compartment is well-detailed, with a 350 cubic inch V8 sitting front and center, wearing a pair of sharp, chrome Edelbrock valve covers and a triangular air cleaner. It was recently taken apart down to its block before being rebuilt and features all new components as it teams with a 3-speed automatic TH350 that went through the very same process. An extensive number of other mechanical parts were also either replaced or rebuilt, to maximize the dependability factor of this classic Chevy, including its brakes, suspension, steering and cooling systems and the undercarriage is now protected by 3M coating. This unusually well restored classic greets the future with enthusiasm on its set of 20" aluminum wheels wrapped with Maxtrek Fortis tires. With its freshly restored condition and ample vintage charm, this 1988 Chevrolet 1500 Cheyenne is ready to roll. Call today!
