With its aggressive yet well-executed modifications combining with some serious big block power under the hood, this 1969 Chevrolet C10 is one fine ride. It's running strong and sounding great, putting it in a pretty select group of vintage pickups that's equally adept at providing a rewarding driving experience as it is turning heads on the boulevard. When taking things past the single color exterior norm, the degree of craftsmanship that goes into the execution often makes the difference between a one of a kind vehicle that passers by will marvel at and a mere curiosity - this vintage pickup definitely falls into the first category. The turquoise exterior, ornamented by striking green flames, is a great look and if you take a closer peek at the application of the flames, you can fully appreciate how skillfully they were applied, with their sharp edges outlined by purple pinstripes to further set them apart from the rest of the exterior. Still well aligned, the doors open and shut smoothly and its hood sits nice and flush with the front fenders on either side as it looms over a very fresh looking front grille and straight, unblemished front bumper. In back, the tailgate latch has been relocated to the inside and the tasteful pinstriping on the liftgate is a very nice added detail. The interior shows a lot of attention to detail, with the plushly padded black and turquoise bench seat tying in perfectly with the door panels to each side and the dash area up front. The Chevy-badged chrome and vinyl steering wheel looks very sharp on its column, while just in front of it, the finished look of the dash is a definite winner. An assortment of white-faced ProComp gauges reside within its black, textured cluster panel - there's one available space remaining to accommodate a finishing gauge of your choosing. The black dash pad running over the top looks to have been recently installed and the turquoise coloring that covers the rest of the steel is smooth and even. An Alpine AM/FM/CD player with Bluetooth connectivity has been added to the mix and shows the look of a professional installation, but some attention will be needed to get it back online. The steel ribbing holding the planks down in the bed area in back still looks nice and smooth, but the planks themselves show some splitting and could stand to be replaced - a relatively easy fix. Raise the hood on this classic pickup and you'll see that its underside as well as the inner fenders sport the same flame pattern found on the front end to provide eye candy for onlookers gazing at the engine compartment, which itself is very well detailed and tidy. Holding court at the center is a 454 cubic inch V8, which sports matching flames of its own on its chrome air cleaner and valve covers. Armed with a 4-barrel carb, the sizable big block is running smoothly and sounding great as it sings out of the aftermarket headers leading to its dual exhaust. Up front a well-proportioned aluminum radiator is accompanied by a pair of electric fans to keep engine temperatures down in more demanding conditions. Power steering and power brakes -with discs up front - make this great looking vintage pickup an easy navigator with prompt stopping ability as it cruises on its set of show-stopping 20" Ridler wheels outfitted with Ironman iMove Generation 2 tires. With curb appeal in abundance and plenty of big block power on hand, this 1969 Chevrolet C10 should be on the "must see" list for any classic truck enthusiast. Call today!
