Car description |

Selling my 64 Corvair Monza 4-Door. The body is in excellent condition, only one small spot of Bondo that I've been able to find. I don't have the time or money to mess with it anymore but it would make a great project for someone.
THE GOOD:
5 new tires
Both Carbs rebuilt
New ball bearing throttle linkage from Roger Parent
New cap/rotor/points
New metal fuel lines under the hood
New mechanical fuel pump
New battery
Replaced rear driver wheel bearing (funny story behind that...)
Many more repairs/replacements!
THE BAD:
Harmonic balancer is bad (I'm including a new one from California Corvairs).
Drivers side transmission mount is bad (including a replacement from Clarks along with the 90 degree wrench).
Brakes are still spongy after being bled twice (not sure of the issue, already replaced a metal brake line although it could be a "between the ears" issue).
Small leak from transaxle (needs a new seal).
This car is far from perfect, in fact it needs a ton of work. The guy that sold it to me told me it was "good to go", totally screwed me. I refuse to do that to anyone so I guarantee two things:
- Yes, it starts
- Yes, it drives
I'm asking $3,000 but I'm willing to negotiate.
