This truck I picked up and as many others I have gotten rid of was going to keep. The gentleman I purchased it from had done what you see with his father; He had a very nice shop with a few race cars which he showed me. I felt comfortable as to what he told me about the truck and the work that has been done. The motor was rebuilt by a motor builder buddy, no paperwork and same with the TH400. Good oil pressure and runs nice and cool. Was told the motor should have no more than 20K on it at this point, the main purpose for him at the time was just to pull his small boat, no beat it; he has drag cars.
The truck was originally a 6 cylinder. Now a 454 casting # 14015445 used from 78-92 there is no stamp on the front ID pad so unsure of which HP rating it was from the factory. It has an Edelbrock Performer intake, nice Holley carb with work, new air filter a nice competition HEI ignition system and wires. Mild cam, Long tube headers full custom exhaust with cross over pipe into some very quite mufflers, along with the correct cooling system new from the 1990 spec 454 trucks. Shocks, suspension has all been upgraded, brake calipers, rear drums, lines etc.
The truck drives very nicely down the road and hugs it while in turns with very minimal body roll.
The truck is clean of " RUST" - so my northern people this is for you...!!
The interior has custom door panels and headliner that match, new arm rest, carpet and some gauges along with rubbers, gas tank sending unit. The dash has one very small crack in it by a speaker area which you can't see with the cover off. Factory radio which at the moment is not working correctly. A/C is all there, I have a new compressor what will need to be installed and charged, It was working. The truck is not a concourse truck but a great clean driver that does have many looks at the shows I go to.
This truck has some dings as expected in various areas and bumpers. Needs little things here and there, All in all the truck is awesome and after a little more of your own TLC to make it what you want, maybe a 2'' cowl hood and some more aggressive mufflers. And for a little over 100 bucks the little miny spool just to connect the axles. I did not paint underneath so whoever buys it can see there is nothing to be alarmed about, you can paint it yourself or have someone do it. If I get the right price or come to an agreement I can paint and undercoat some of it. There are other things I'm sure I've missed but the pictures and video's are here to help you purchase the right truck at the right price.
I believe not just as a car/truck enthusiast this is a good and fair price but it would take a bit of cash to make a truck what you see.Once again the truck is not perfect nor am I advertising that it is.
If you need assistance with a shipping company / dispatch I can put you in contact with one I've used and people that I have told, you will get a better deal than Uship on here.
This truck is being sold as is no warranty; non refundable deposit no returns, and this listing can end at anytime.
