I purchased this Corvette in 2008. It was my intention to perform a body-off restoration on it as it is a numbers matching vehicle (Motor. transmission. frame numbers all reflect the "born with" VIN and VIN tag. Please see attached photos). As life goes. I've not been able to get to the restoration. so it has been garaged and under cover for the last 7 years. It's obviously flared. so glass work will be needed to return it to stock (if so desired). It has the HT suffix on the block stamp which indicates that its a 327/350 HP 4 speed car. The rear end is Positraction with 3:36 gear ratio (AM 1 22 65). It has American Racing Torque Thrust II Wheels and BF Goodrich TA's which look to be fairly new. The spare is present with an original bias type tire. but the jack and jack handle are missing. The cars trim tag decodes that it is a Nassau Blue exterior. and Blue interior. Traces of original exterior and interior colors are visible. Of the 23. 62 Corvettes produced in 1965. 8. 86 were Coupes. and only 3809 were equipped with power windows. The power windows work. the clock works intermittently (worked prior to sitting). all gauges work as well. The rear spring has been upgraded to fiberglass with longer bolts to lower the rear of the car. It has an aftermarket '67 BB HL hood. The paintwork is amateurish. with paint cracking here and there. chips. flaking. etc. The motor runs great. does not smoke or make any unusual noises. It appears that it may have been rebuilt in the recent past (but cannot verify that). I purchased the vehicle on ebay from a consigner/dealer. and was told that the 32K mileage on the odometer was accurate. I cannot verify that. and doubt it. It retains a Florida title. as I have never put it on the road and did not have it re-titled in my state. The original Holley Carburetor was replaced with an aftermarket Edelbrock Carburetor at some point. I replaced the accelerator pump in the carb as it was dried out from sitting. The original chrome air cleaner is present and has pitting from it's age. The distributor is an aftermarket dual-point excel with the mechanical drive for the tach. It retains an original style alternator (may be original). Other than that. the engine appears to be as it came from the factory minus the shielding. The Front and Rear bumpers are in great shape. as well as the rocker moldings. I replaced the hood hinges. as the old were extremely loose/sloppy. The original radio works well (AM/FM). There is newer carpet. and the interior panels look good. The seat covers appear newer. and other interior parts appear to be vinyl dye'd and hard surfaces repainted black. All window. windshield and rear glass look good/fair (The passenger side window has a small dimple/chip. light scratches on Drivers side window). The weatherstripping is soft. and appears to be in great shape (likely replaced). The frame has some surface rust/pitting. It looks like the rear brake lines have been replaced. The right headlight door needs work. may just be an adjustment or connection. but am not sure. I suspect a connection. as it is intermittent. I replaced the Headlamp door switch with an OEM as the original was bad. The rotors all look to be recently turned. I rebuilt the LF caliper and replaced both front pads. The car retains the Delco Morraine calipers. The Master cylinder lid and seal are new as well. I have a near perfect Original small block hood (Nassau Blue) that I will sell at a great price to the purchaser of the car if interested. Otherwise. it will be listed after this auction. The Reserve price is set for selling the car. I would venture to say that there are not many numbers matching. 350 hp/4 speed Coupes out there that can be had at this price. The car needs cosmetic work. but can be driven as is. The front clip of the car requires the most attention if to be restored. The "bones" are there to restore it as an original "Numbers Matching Car". or continue with the resto-mod theme. A nice cover is included with the car as well. Please review the photos closely to see what you are bidding on. This is not a show car in it's present state. Let me know if you have any questions and I will respond ASAP. Thanks. and the best of luck! I’m located Near Salt Lake City (about 30 minutes away from the airport). Feel free to come see the car in person. In fact. I encourage you to do so! I have a lift so you can inspect thoroughly. $500 non-refundable deposit required within 24hrs of auction close. False bidders will be reported. There is no warranty written or implied due to it's age. I have described the cars condition to the best of my knowledge/ability. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICK-UP OR SHIPPING. Will assist loading.
