This Blazer was assigned to Fort Mccoy in Wisconsin. It went up for military sale and sold to one of the enlistees as he kept it to use as a daily driver. When we bought it, we were told he enjoyed taking the top off in the summers and cruising with it. We were told he also liked that when he did use it with the top on, he was able to use the rare sliding windows in the topper. This blazer has a low 59k miles on it, i was told they are actual. The Blazer always fired right up for him and has fired right up for us. At one time since he owned it, the blazer had a transmission installed. I was told that when it was still at fort mccoy, they bypassed the glow plug chip card on all of their units and replaced them with a manual push replay. The push button relay is located in the ashtray, you hold it down on a cold start for 15 seconds and start the truck. other than that, It is all stock and original. This blazer has the black out lights and cat eyes that all work. it has the pintle points and all of the nomenclature plates.
This blazer has the original manuals and the slave cable hookups. this is still a 24 volt system. This has a neat ammo bucket between the front bucket seats that works great for keeping things like the manual and extra parts etc. It rides and drives very nice. Lots of power with the diesel. the 4x4 lockouts work great. The gauges all are working but the gas gauge comes and goes due to a bad ground. The body looks good and clean. For the survivor it is I was very impressed. Watch the video as it does a really good job showing it for what it is and showing the minor common for the age stuff (scuffs, minor dings etc.)Floor pans look solid. leather interior is in great shape. Tires look good with off road type tred. I was told it has updated shocks etc. the doors open and shut the way they should. The tailgate opens and shuts and the rear tailgate window cranks up and down the way it should. Again watch the video as it shows us operating everything etc.
This is a Blazer you can start having a ball with right away as a daily driver taking it to car shows and car cruises yet retain a piece of history that is a military unit that is only going up in value. This would be a great investment for a collector who wants a toy as well as something that is very collectible with room to go up. This comes with a clean and clear title that is titled as a K5 blazer and is street legal, ready for you to register.
