Ground up restoration

For Sale is my 1962 Chevrolet Impala with a 409 C.I./409 H.P., solid lifter, 4 speed, positraction 4.11 restored Impala from California ("L" in the Vin). Before I button it up for the Winter, I thought I'd give it a shot on eBay as in the Spring it will actively be put on the Market. This is a ground up restoration on a beautiful rust free frame as the pictures will show. Because it has never been taken off the frame, it drives incredible. As tight and rattle free as can be. Those who have owned "frame off" cars know what I'm talking about. Please note this 409 has power steering which on this car, makes all the difference in the world. It is a matching numbers car with a 3788068 Block with no "X" stamping making it an early 62 only, correct T 11 27 QB pad stamping, 3814881 intake, 3361S & 3804S(rear replacement)carbs, 3814690 Heads (K2061 & K2161). The 3/8" fuel line is there which is standard on 409 cars.The trim tag designates Ermine White with a Blue cloth/vinyl interior. The original 4 speed shifter is tight and doesn't rattle like most. The motor has been rebuilt, the trans shifts smoothly and there are no strange bearing noises anywhere, including the posi. It has a nice mellow exhaust note

The body is straight and true with equal gaps and has a very professional paint job that is near a 10. No marks, scratches, ripples or dings at all. Shows very well. Has the correct bias ply tires with new dog dish caps. The doors and trunk locks all work, lights, directionals, horns, wipers, widows, vents... ready to enjoy. Upgraded to an alternator and dual power brakes add to the enjoyment. The glove box has an am-fm with cd that sounds terrific if you'd rather listen to music than the solid lifters.
