Car description

You'll note that we have a hard time keeping early Camaros in stock, particularly ultra-clean ones like this 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS coupe. With that in mind, if you're looking for one with a snarling small block, awesome interior, numerous upgrades, and a look that dares other cars to race, perhaps you should call now instead of finishing reading this. 1969 Camaros are quite possibly our #1 best-sellers for good reason: they look positively awesome. You want... street cred? An F-body is a great way to get it. You want front-row parking at the next cruise night? This Cortez Silver RS coupe will deliver. It keeps with the factory formula, since it's hard to improve on the timeless design (even the factory copied it four decades later), but the execution is quite good. The paint is recent and hugs some very straight sheetmetal (the front end is all-new Dynacorn steel) that has enjoyed the ministrations of some talented body men. This is an original code 69 Cortez Silver car so it has an outstanding look and the bare-metal restoration only enhanced an already high-quality piece. There's the usual cowl-induction hood, as well as spoilers fore and aft, plus black hockey stick stripes just in case you thought this car isn't arresting enough. Bright chrome bumpers flank the car at both ends, adding a shiny bit of punctuation to the all-black storyline. The vinyl top is also in excellent condition, giving it a grown-up look that works rather well with the black stripes and interior. The interior has been subtly upgraded to make for a better driving experience. The factory buckets wear fresh houndstooth reproduction seat covers and the door panels are excellent repros, too. The center console is nicely woodgrained and carries our all-time favorite shifter, the GM horseshoe. You'll also note that it now manages four gears instead of three; more on that in a moment. Factory gauges remain in the dash, and you'll note that this car was originally equipped with factory A/C, which is now backed by modern hardware and R134a refrigerant for reliability. An upgraded AM/FM stereo fits neatly in the original slot and works with speakers in the kick panels. The ultra-clean trunk offers a fresh reproduction mat and a space-saver spare tire assembly. Horsepower comes easy thanks to a built 350 cubic inch GM crate motor. Edelbrock supplied the intake manifold and 4-barrel carb, as well as the heads and camshaft inside. Chevy Orange paint keeps it looking right under the hood, and a bit of dress-up never hurts, including the blacked-out valve covers and open-element air cleaner. There's a new alternator, new hoses and clamps, and a fresh master cylinder so you know it's ready to run. The TH350 3-speed automatic transmission provides easy cruising and quick reflexes, and powers a 10-bolt rear end that doesn't mind the small block's power. Original exhaust manifolds dump into a custom stainless exhaust system with an X-pipe and correct transverse muffler, so it has an awesome voice, and it remains quite clean underneath thanks to some fresh steel. Slick 15-inch Torque Thrusts sparkle against the silver paint and wear 225/60/15 front and 245/60/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials. It's a '69 Camaro and it's beautifully finished, so it won't last long. If you like what you see, please don't hesitate and call today!
