Among the last of the second-generation Camaros, GM packed the Z28s with all the good stuff they developed during its run. That includes both performance and comfort features. Looking good in its fresh black pain, this car begs to be taken out and driven. Come on down and check it out, you may decide to drive it on home. Dressed up in a fresh coat of the Black color that it was delivered from the factory... in, code 19U, 19L with Silver Z28 striping, this car looks great. Hunkered down, long and low with a wide track describes the overall look of these second-generation Camaros. Known as a driver's car, features like a functional Air Induction hood that feeds cold air to the engine, side vents in the front fenders to let hot air out, and aerodynamic elements like a deep chin spoiler matched by a full width rear spoiler work together to make this car rock and roll on the road. Correct Z28 badging appears on the black grill, on the trunk, and at the back of the door in the Silver triple stripes that wrap around the car from the front spoiler and down the side, with complimenting stripes on the hood and trunk. Black wheels with Cooper Cobra tires along with a low and lean stance crate a menacing look. Open the door and you will find a door panel that reflects the long lean lines of the car with a chrome strip across the top. The interior is stock except for a Pioneer head unit that is AM/FM/CD and iPod compatible that has been added for your listening pleasure. It is neat and clean with minimal wear. A 4-spoke Z28 steering wheel is mounted on a tilt column and sits in front of the tach on the right and speedo on the left with engine gauges to either side. Ventilation controls are below them on the left side and include those for the factory air conditioning that has been upgraded to R134. Have a seat in the high-backed buckets that have pleated centers and supportive side bolsters that are nice for spirited driving. The shifter for the Turbo Hydromatic 400 3-speed automatic is mounted in the center console with a nice armrest just behind it. Pop the hood and you will find an engine that is mostly stock. It has seen good regular maintenance with a new brake booster and master cylinder, a recent tune up with plugs, cap and wires, belts and hoses. The stock, glossy black air cleaner captures fresh air from the air induction hood and feeds it to a Rochester Quadrajet carburetor. An Edelbrock intake matched up with long tube headers and a new exhaust system from front to rear do a good job making some extra power. Finned Edelbrock valve covers add a nice look to the engine and the power is sent back through the 3-speed automatic trans to a 10-bolt rear end which gets the power to the ground through 215/65R15 tires mounted on those black 5-spoke wheels. 215/65R15s handle the duties up front too with sway bars both front and rear keeping the car cornering flat. Of-course power steering and power front disc brakes also help the handling and assure good braking while hauling this Z back down from speed. With the factory correct paint and interior, this car is a shining example of the second-generation Camaros. Come on down and check it out.
