Car description |
---|
You are looking at what I believe to be an original, rust-free truck. I have looked everywhere and I truly see no rust and that is really special on these older Chevy pickups, especially in the Northeast. I am under the impression that this truck has not been driven in fowl weather, it is too clean underneath. Look under the hood, in the door jambs, tailgate and pickup bed and I find no rust at all. Suffice it to say that this truck is straight and solid, please see pictures. If there is any rust, I sure have not seen it. There are a number of small paint chips on the tops of the front fenders and on the roof, there is a small scratch on the passenger side door.
The interior is very nice, with special wood trim from Choo Choo Customs. The truck features cold air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, tilt steering wheel, AMFM cassette that plays and sounds fine and of course an automatic transmission. Everything works properly. There is some minor discoloration on the leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The engine roars to life and purrs, with a slight rumble from the dual exhaust. The transmission shifts properly and the steering and brakes are responsive. Although I must say, the truck has a less than perfect ride, somewhat bouncy and a slight shake that you feel in the seat of your pants at speed, I thought it was the tires, but it was not. I have been told that it drives like a truck, but I disagree, there is something that needs fixing in the ride department, but I don't know what it is.
Special features of the Choo Choo Customs Edition are; Custom teal two-tone, a full ground-effects kit, wood-trimmed interior and unique wheels. The truck also has a tonneau cover and a fully carpeted bed floor. This trucks shows no evidence of being anything other than a show-truck. I have only seen a couple of these Choo Choos, in many years.
In the past few months, we have done the following updates; 1 Four new BF Goodrich Radial T/A Tires. 2 New AC compressor and related parts, fully charged system, AC blows ice cold. 3 Four new heavy-duty shock absorbers. 4 New fuel pump was installed.
This truck is an all-around very nice looking and running truck. It is clean and is turnkey and go. It is however, nearly twenty five years old and although I am describing the truck as accurately as I know how, you may see it differently than I do. I suggest that you come look at and drive the truck, or have someone look at it for you, if you possibly can. The truck is Sold As-Is, with No Warranty expressed, or implied.
I believe my reserve is fair and I am hoping to sell the truck to someone who loves it and enjoys the attention it gets. Please be sure that you have read the entire listing and inspected all photos and ask any questions, before you bid. Although I have not sold anything on ebay recently, if you look through my feedback, you will see that I have sold many items, including cars and everyone said they were satisfied, so please bid with confidence. I require a $500 paypal deposit within 24 hours of end of auction and full payment within seven "7" days. My name is Bill Marcy and my phone number is 201-954-3159, I will be happy to speak with you. More pictures are available on request.
