Car description |
---|
For sale is a very clean and updated classic 1979 Chevrolet Corvette. ThisVette has T-Tops,the L 82 engine, 4 speed manual transmission, power windows, power brakes, power steering, and Rally wheels. A standout feature of this Vette is the optional L 82 engine rated at 225 horsepower. 1979 was the final year that a manual gearbox could be ordered with this engine, and, in 1979 less than 20% of the Vettes ordered had the manual fun stick. Both of these make this Vette quite special. In addition, this Vette has been cared for very well over the years withnumerous upgrades done such asnew radiator, carpeting, complete exhaust (dual exhaust pipe system 2 1/4" pipe), pumps, hoses, brakes, brake cables, calipers, rotars, egr valve, bearings, wiper motor, master cylinder, shocks, ball joints, brake lines, distributor, etc. The receipts will go with the car for documentation. The dash has been upgradedwith LED gauges both in front of the driver for Tach/Speedo and also in the center console for the engine monitoring system.I do have the original gauges if you would like to convert back to the originals. The radio isalso upgraded to a modern unit with Blue Tooth and both therear speakers and front are brand new this year.
This car has been a blast to drive and certainly attracts attention with it shiny black paint. The paint is in excellent condition having been professional buffed and waxed over the years. The paint does not have any fading or spiderwebbing that many cars have. We have had no issues with the car over the past years that we have owned it. The only reason for selling is that it's time for a new toy. I rotate cars every few years. I will also be listing my 1970 Chevelle in the near future.
If you would like to come and inspect the car please feel free to do so.The car is available for a test run if you would like to comeup toinspect the car. Due to insurance reasons I will have to drive, but, you will not be disappointed. You will not hearany sounds such as creaks, groans, rattles--just theroar of the exhaust. The car starts right up, idles excellent and of course flies thru the gears perfect. Both the clutch and brakes work awesome. The tires are in excellent shape with excellent tread left. The emergency brake works as it should and holds the car firm and releases as it should.
The glass is all in excellent condition with no cracks. All the lights work including the headlights. The headlights pop up and down perfect. The T-Tops as you can see in the photos are in excellent condition. Both the paint on the top of the T Tops and the plastic on the inside are perfect. The storage bag shown in the photos will be included in the sale. The mileage is unknown as when we put the digital gauges in it reset to 0.
I will require a $1,000 down payment thru Paypal within 48 hours with the full payment due within 7 days of auction close. Only the $1,000 deposit is allowed thru Paypal. The remainder must be paid either via wire into my account (preferred), cash or a check. Any check (even a bank check) will have to have cleared my bank before the car may be released. This may take time so a wire is preferred. Absolutely NO postal money orders accepted for any amount. I can store the car (enclosed storage) for up to 30 days for free once the car is paid in full. The car is sold As-Is with no warranty. You are responsible for shipping and related costs, although, you would be able to drive this car home also.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
