1969 Impala Custom
Nic, Clean and Great driver! Can you say Cars and Coffee on a budget?!
A front-engined, rear-wheel drive two door mid-level model. There were 777,000 Impalas made in configurations that are countless from 6 cylinder 250 ci engines to the monster Big Blocks with 4 speed manual transmissions. While this Impala Custom is not one of those rare specialty cars, it is a numbers matching, very clean, very straight couple that you can get in and drive. It practically has a couch for a backseat and a hotel room for a trunk!! It turns heads and we get the thumbs up everywhere we go. If you looking for a great classic to take the kids/grandkids to cars and coffee, look no further.
- Odometer reading - 33,000 miles
- (I would say it is 133,000 miles)
- Original numbers matching 350 engine
- Appears to be well maintained with no ticks or noises.
- I store my cars for the winter and this car started immediately after being stored for 5 mos.
- Does have a puff of blue smoke on start
- Automatic trans
- Mostly unrestored with a still shinny repaint in original color
- Very solid Alabama body with no fill. Can still see original welds around rear quarters and trunk
- If there is anything great about this car other than its and easy drive is that it is a very solid body
- Original interior and undercarriage
- Factory A/C, belt on but not cold
This car is a whole lot of fun to drive and we have enjoyed just that over the last few years. I acquired that car in Alabama and brought it back as a weekend driver and have enjoyed it with no headaches. I had a new power steering box installed as well as new springs all the way around with front shocks. Rear has air shocks that work properly. Also installed a new alternator and a few front end suspension parts including ball joints. It is road ready - just get in and drive. The car's body panels are straight and solid, the engine bay is tidy and the bumpers are in very good condition.
Inside, the Blue seats are in great shape and the matching carpet is in good condition. The blue headliner is in similar good order, the instrument panel, is also in good order, although the clock does not work and there is a crack in the dashboard. The steering wheel is present and in good shape. The door panels, and mirrors are all in a similar state to the carpet and headliner.
The wheels are steel but appear to be upgrades as the center caps say "front disk" and the car has front drums, but they are in excellent shape with good matching rubber all the way around.
The car has factory A/C and has not worked this summer.
Please do not bid on this car if you do not intend to buy it! Please contact me to look at it before bidding. If you win the bid you will be expected to purchase the car, even if you buy it "sight unseenâ€. The car is in as-is where-is condition and you will need to arrange to move it. Please ask me any questions FIRST. I will consider trades, let me know what you have, but cash is y priority since I have lost my storage. Look at my other cars as I have to sell some due to the storage problem. Thanks and have fun bidding!
Great cars and coffee car and easy/fun to drive!
