For sale at low reserve is a rare. factory original. numbers matching 1959 Chevrolet Apache 31 short wheelbase. custom cab. fleetside truck with 235 straight six. I purchased the truck out of South Dakota with the intention of rebuilding it. I have too many projects and not enough time and am letting someone else take the lead on this opportunity. As seen in the images. the VIN tag on the cab matches the VIN number on the chassis. The trim tag indicates paint code 731K which is two-tone Galway Green and Bombay Ivory. The "K" indicates the one year only custom fleetside paint scheme. The 431 RPO is the custom cab package. This very original truck was rolled in the mid-1970's in the state of South Dakota. It sat in the rear lot of a body shop for 35 years after which I purchased the truck. Although I have not had the truck on a frame machine. the frame appears to be straight and true. There was garbage piled in the bed. which rotted all of the bed rails. which is why the body line of the cab does not align with the bed. With new bedrails installed. I believe that the cab and bed would come into perfect alignment. Also. because the original rubber mat was in place. moisture was retained and the cab floors are rough. I believe that the following items should be replaced to properly restore this truck: New big window cab. New doors. New bed rails. New passenger side. wheel tub. Other body panels have dents and dings. but appear to be solid. I do not have a title on this truck. but could obtain a clear TX title in the name of the new owner at buyer's expense. probably around $350 or so. Truck is in Burnet county TX and can be picked up at the buyer's convenience in the next 2-3 months. Please email with any questions. Thanks. Clay
