Positraction Rear, Ice Cold Air Conditioning
The car:
I have owned this car for 14 years. This is not a numbers matching car. I bought this car to drive, restore, and upgrade. It has been my daily driver on fair days in the summer and It has been kept in a climate controlled garage since I got it. It has only been driven in the rain a handful of times in 14 years. It has NEVER been in contact with salt and has no rust.I have tried to keep the car as original looking as possible, with safety, convenience, reliability and originality being the goal of my additions and upgrades. I built the car to be a cruiser and it has proven to be very reliable. It starts easily, idles well, and drives like a dream! The exhaust system is quiet and tame inside but rumbles nicely outside. I have never abused the car... no burn-outs, no racing, etc. However the car has no problem getting out of its own way when you need it to! This car does not leak oil - not a drop. The car has been to many car shows and on two Hot Rod Power Tours. It's fun to drive - and it is a real head-turner at car shows and on the street.
The car has been regularly maintained with oil changes new plugs and wires, carb rebuild, and new filters and lubrication etc. If you wanted to, you could get in this car and drive it coast-to-coast, only needing gas and food.
Upgrades and additions:
Since I have owned the car I have replaced the entire drivetrain, fuel system, cooling system, interior, exhaust system, and much more (see the list of improvements and upgrades below) I also added Vintage Air A/C, heat cool and defrost that blows ice cold. The engine is an iron head HO 350 Vortec crate motor (GM performance part # 12496968) rated at 330 HP. When I finished the engine install it was tuned on a dyno for max power and smooth driveability. It runs good on 91 octane fuel but likes 93 best. I recently added a custom built 700R4 fully hydraulic 4-speed automatic transmission with shift kit and 1800 RPM stall converter. At 60 MPH it turns 2,000 RPM in 4th gear with the torque converter automatically locked. When I installed the 4-speed transmission I retained the 3-speed shifter for the original look. It works fine but you may want to change it out. The driveline was shortened and balanced, and the 10-bolt rear end was completely rebuilt with 308 gears and Eaton Positraction. New rear springs, hang on custom shackles, and it has new QA1 adjustable shocks in the rear.
The interior is all original and in very good shape. All the original gauges controls and dash lights work well. I recently had the vintage in-dash AM FM 8-track player rebuilt and it plays great and is a big hit at car shows.
I recently added 15x7 and 15x8 polished aluminum American Racing wheels and BF Goodrich TA Radials. They have about 2,000 miles on them. The power front disc and rear drum brakes are in very good condition, and the car stops straight and quickly.
Last summer I added an aluminum radiator and coolant recovery system. The original shroud is in place and it is impossible to overheat the engine, even on the hottest days.

The car comes with a 2 front window power window kit you may want to install. Also included are new chrome look A/C vents and bezels for the dash. Included also is a new front air dam for you to install. Some time ago I found an old original dash pod that has several working lights and other parts that are near impossible to find now. It is included. You will also get several chrome metal Chevy and Camaro body logos that I never had time to install. The carcomeswith a set of brand new front shock absorbers yet to be installed.
