Car description |

I am selling a 1989 Class B CHEVY PROVAN ASTRO RV 41K MILES (the last owner claimed 200 miles afterthe rebuild, but to be safe I will claim the original miles on the body and the odometer)!!!
Please note that I have been an eBay member for 20 years (1998) and have a perfect 100% feedback rating over 114 sales. You can bid with 100% confidence and I give accurate descriptions of all the vehicles I sell. I highly suggest you come and see it in person and drive it home!
Low reserve, low miles, great gas mileage, great power, NO RUST, everything works and starts. Nearly everything has been replaced or rebuilt. You will not find a better, cleaner, more economical RV. 14 MPG city, 18 MPG hwy. It has lived its entire life in Arizona and Nevada until I bought it and shipped it to Iowa. Perfect for those of us who don't need a huge, expensive motorhome and for those of us who would still like to cook and sleep inside rather than in a tent.
Provans were made in Colorado. These are very rare and have a cult following. There is only one or two for sale in the United States at any given time. You won't find anything this unique in such a perfect-sized RV at this price. It is fully self-contained! Please research these, most of these are priced at $13K-$25K and they don't seem to stay listed for long. This one is in amazing condition and has a low reserve!

This RV is listed locally so the auction may close early. I will not accept any offers once the reserve is met.
Off grid stealth. Park anywhere with a full complement of features. 16 feet long, sleeps 4 (comfortably), full galley, shower, toilet, and fantastic MPG.
The RV has about 41K miles and has a clear Iowa title in my name.
This RV has NO rust, no pets, no odors, no smoking. Only used a handful of times for camping with my son and tailgating (thus the Hawkeye Fathead sticker that can easily be removed).
The 4.3L Vortec is the most popular V6 ever made. (Still being made today) Parts can be found almost anywhere and they are affordable (unlike import camper vans) . A V6 will on average get 30% better mileage than a V8.
I owned a 1977 Chevy Chalet and this vehicle is superior in almost every way. It has better gas mileage, ice cold air conditioning and better working components. It runs faster on the interstate at the best gas mileage in the RV market. Don't get me wrong, I love the Chalets and the Eurovans, but the Chalet chugged gas and was slower on the interstate due to the huge/heavy fiberglass camper shell and the Eurovans are really slow, almost dangerously slow and the parts are EXPENSIVE/RARE: both are amazing to look at though! I thoroughly researched all camper vans before purchasing the Tiger Provan...it was the best choice!!! I suggest you do the same!
The Tiger Provan is amazing in tight spaces and has the amenities of a home: two sleep spaces (the back bench converts to a bed, microwave, refrigerator, stove, sink, storage, air, heat and even shower/toilet, (although I have NEVER used them and I highly suggest you use a rest stop or other facility; I bought a solar shower for outdoor use and used local restrooms, but the option is there for you because they are both fully functional) TV mount and power for your computer or any other accessories including solar power. You could also put a mount on the top for kayaks, surfboards, bikes or any other recreation you see fit!
Your home is where you park it. This is a huge solution for traveling business people, millennials, adventurers, outdoorsmen/women, lazy campers like me (who don't want to set and pack up a tent; you just put it in drive and leave), outdoor festival lovers (don't pay for camping, sleep in the van without paying additional fees), sports enthusiasts (same concept, park free, don't drink and drive and leave in the morning without paying for overpriced hotel rooms) or maybe most importantly, escape the apocalypse (I know some preppers are viewing this vehicle). Either way, it is multi-faceted for all your needs. It needs nothing, but a new home!
This vehicle is as advertised, but is sold "as isâ€.
I truly believe you could fly in and drive it anywhere on this continent. A great article can found if you use a search engine typing "More talk about our Tiger and some comparisons with other vehicles". It really is a great article that toutswhy this vehicle is better than any other type of camper van, RV, etc.
I only accept cash or a wire transfer. I don't accept any other form including certified cashier's checks because of scammers. They have ruined everything for everyone. I will accept the $500 deposit via PayPal, but the rest has to be cash or wire.
I am also selling the Tiger locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction early. I will not sell the vehicle locally if it hits the reserve price! I know this sounds silly, but I have had this happen where people don't bid, have remorse and try to outbid the winning bidder after the auction. Only the winning bidder will get this vehicle, so don't have "afraid bidder remorseâ€. I have honestly set the reserve very low. The last owner swore he put $25K into the vehicle (I didn't pay that as an honest declaration) and had to take a hit on it. I have the pictures of the ad with the date.
The winning bidder is responsible for shipping costs.
Please contact me prior to the end of the auction with any questions or additional pictures. I could only fit 24 and there are plenty more that didn't make the cut. Thank you and good luck bidding! 515-661-seven two-77

**It has just come to my attention (by another eBay member this morning) that the original mileage is 141K (via Carfax, which I never checked). I must have misheard the original owner. Either way, honesty is always the best policy, so full disclosure.
I can confirm that he did add the parts listed in the previous posting. He also did a full remodel of the living area. I also can confirm that it, starts, drives and works like a new vehicle. I can also send his original advertisement to anyone who wants to read it...he stated that the vehicle was rebuilt with under $300 miles, but I thought it would be best to disclose the 41K (141K, I guess).
I am very appreciative of the other eBay member who informed me (thanks Gerald) and I am also very glad that this happened prior to the reserve price. Which I also lowered a bit in light of the new information.
Whoever gets this vehicle will be very, very happy. That is assured. I truly wish someone would come see it prior to the end of they auction, they would by it...it is that nice. I will answer any addition questions and take any specific pictures that you'd like!!!
Thanks...Mike

**Reserve is off**
I had to reject two offers today after the reserve was met. This happens all the time. I used to be baffled by it, but I understand now why people do it. They hope the bid stays low so it gives them room to negotiate a lower offer.
No additional offers will be considered now that the low low reserve has been met...highest bidder will take home this amazing vehicle. The demand will dictate the market price. Don't be the next person who calls and asks "I will buy this vehicle if the buyer doesn't come through". These are going between $16K-$24K and the reserve is...OFF!
