A wonderful classic car. ready for an amazing restoration! A 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS! This is the 2-door model which is so popular to muscle car renovation enthusiasts. Interior is in great shape for its' age. the dash is very clean and all the original interior parts are on hand. The original cloth headliner is falling down and there are some tears on the seats. The exterior has a lot of surface rust and there are patches of rust through the front fenders at the bottom. There is a small crimp in the body at the right rear just above the bumper. The drivers' window works but may need a new roller. The engine is a small block Chevy 350 with a quadrajet carb. block casting number 3970014 (this is a 1968-1979 350cid). We have cleaned up the engine. installed new tune up parts. and it IS RUNNING!!. The transmission works and shifts. The original shifter and console will come with the car. The carb is iffy. could use a nice Holley. There is dual exhaust and a fresh battery. The tires need to be replaced but they are holding air. The transmission is automatic but I don't believe it is original to the car. The engine is definitely not original. the vin states that this car was an original Impala SS that came with a six cylinder motor. The floor pans are not rusted through and the trunk pan is intact. however. the trunk weatherseal has rusted away the metal lip under the rubber. This car has no power steering and no power brakes. The brakes work. but there is a bad master cylinder seal and fluid drains over time. Fuel gage works. Has original radio. I have a South Carolina Title in my hand waiting to sign it over.
