1951 Chevy Pick Up
Fantastic advertisement piece
I have an antiquity company in the middle of Texas. We specialize in fine antiques and collectibles. Once in a while my customers turn in a classic automobile or motorcycle.
This is one of those items:
We received this beautiful Pick Up from one of our farmer friends in Bandera, Texas. The truck is absolutely solid and will make a fantastic advertisement piece. You can put the name of your company or organization on the side of the truck and drive and/or park it anywhere you want, per picture.
The truck comes with a straight 6 engine and a standard transmission. It is absolutely solid with zero rust and everything works. In the last 6 months, when they started the restoration, they took the engine and transmission out, changed the throw out bearing. They also changed the water pump, fuel pump, radiator, spark plugs, spark plug wires, oil filter, battery, and detailed the area under the hood when the engine and transmission were out. Then they painted the truck and stained the wood with mahogany color stain.
The truck runs and drives very well and starts right away. But it is old and it is no Ferrari, so you cannot drive it 70 or 80 miles an hour. The paint job is good - an average truck paint job, but it won't win any showroom awards. What it will do is get attention!
They tried to go through the whole truck, but we know the tires are old and will eventually need to be changed.
When I took a picture of underneath the truck, I noticed that there is a device like a drive shaft that goes from the transmission to the bed of the truck. This means the bed will come up like a dump truck. I honestly don't know how to operate it so I haven't tried it.
I have added some of the pictures of restoration to the end of the pictures posted. The truck comes with a clear Texas title. Due to the limited number of pictures I can put on E-bay (maximum 24 pictures), if you need any more pictures, please let me know and I will be more than glad to send them to you. And I also made a couple of small videos showing the truck running. So if you are interested in seeing them, please send me your phone number and I will text them to you.
All the inspections must be done before the auction closes.
Remember that this classic truck 67 years old. Please remember that things always look better in pictures. So you are more than welcome to come see it in person.
