Car description |
---|
This is an all original and excellent condition 1978 Silver Anniversary Stingray Corvette. This car has 58,000 original miles on it and is almost entirely stock. Never restored, and does not need to be! The red leather and cloth interior is in terrific condition with original floormats, working horn, very nice wheel, and all guages but the clock (does run, but is spoty in performance) functioning perfectly. It has never been in any type of accident or fender-bender and has a clean title ready to go!
This car had very sporty and great looking stripes added in 1978 by the original owner (a Chevy Dealership Owner) along with an Edelbrock 4 barrel carb and customised valve covers. This car had sat in a basement for over 30 years on blocks and was gone through entirely by mechanics and brought back to perfect-running condition! The headlight actuators, lights, and brights work perfectly! The headlights are made of glass and are crystal clear!
All receipts can be provided and will be given to the new owner with the title and car.
This car has Power Steering, Power Brakes, Power Windows, Brand New Tires, A/C, and an AM/FM/Tape player. The shop repaired anything that needed to be fixed as well as anything that could lead to any potential problem. It included a tune-up, carb rebuild, complete fuel system flush, oil leaks repaired, oil change, transmission flush, new radiator and hoses, and more. The total bill came out to $2,981. There is nothing wrong and this classic Vette runs and drives perfectly!
Repairs include new radiator assembly, anti freeze, brand new Interstate Battery, Edelbrock rebuild kit, New fuel filter, Valve cover gasket set, cruise control transducer, Brand New Speedometer/Odometer cable along with a new Speedo gear and quality machined steel housing with new seals and gaskets, R134A conversion fitting, refridgerant oil charge, R134A Freon, Transmission rear housing assembly removed and new seals, gasket, and bushing installed. Lastly, on June 7, 2017, Brand New tires were put on and a receipt is available for that as well.
Do note that this car has all four original Aluminum '78 Vette wheels and the spare underneath. Engine is a 5.7L/350. Very smooth and very loud. Starts up everytime without a single problem and runs perfectly.
Any and all damage is as follows: Steering Wheel is slightly cracking (feels smooth in the hand and is not peeling), Clock does run but occasionally need to be reset, small hole in carpet under driver's side mat (not visible unless mat is lifted up), Minor drip from probably the tranny pan about the size of a half-dollar per day (normal for old cars and NOT an issue at all), minor paint chips here and there, and the folding driver seat does not totally latch back (has not bothered me one bit, in fact pretty convenient so that you don't have to mess with the latch) but nothing unexpected for a 40 year old car. There is a minor crack on front bumper maybe as big as a paper clip, may be other minute cracks in body but absolutely nothing extreme.
It is possible I may have missed a few things, but overall, this car is absolutely fantastic! The engine bay is nearly spotless! This has been a garage kept and well cared for C3 Corvette over the past 40 years! This car is exactly as pictured. Located in Snowflake, Arizona, Local Pickup Please! Satisfaction guaranteed!
