I am in a position that I need to sell my van. This van has been my personal driver for the last 5 years. It started out as a hot rod parts swap meet hauler. As time progressed I had to put my own flare to it. This van is NOT a show quality van, it is a driver and a fun one at that!It has been customized by myself and fellow Hot Rod friends and car club members. Everything on the van works and runs on a 250 6 cylinder engine. It does have an earlier head on it so no worries of the flaw in a cracked manifold because the newer generations are all cast together. It has headers, custom dumps and custom exhaust ports that exit out the rockers. Yes they are functional and not just for looks. The sheet metal has been gone through and patch panels welded in the floor where there was rust. Also a new rocker was welded in on the passenger side and is in primer at this point. The van originally was used for a fun utility vehicle so the floor has heat shield, a custom cut 1/2" thick dense rubber matting with a 3/16" ribbed rubber mat for easy cleaning and durability. The dog house has been customized to be completely removable with a floor flange, rubber seal and bolts directly to the floor. This makes for easy engine access or if you want to swap out to a V8 you will be thankful for this option. The interior has not been completed and would be a great blank canvas for the next owner. I did have custom yellow crushed velvet drapes made for effect and privacy if needed. The seats are custom metal flake diamond pleat metro bus seats that were redone and I made custom seat stands to house them in the cockpit area. Dash pad and visors have been done in the same manner. The interior also includes a one of a kind repurposed 70's painting, but yes....it is a painting of the van in the van!!! Gauges have all been updated with custom MOON gauges and tachometer, Moon steering wheel, Moon pedals and mats. Pioneer cassette and amp with boxed Rockford Fosgate 6X9 speakers in the back. Cobra CB with PA system with extra long whip antenna. Custom sunroof in the driver/passenger area with yellow lexan and vintage Super Scoop in the cargo area. The Super Scoop has become brittle over the years and has some hairline cracks in it. You will either have to repair them or replace the scoop with a piece of custom plexiglass. This is an easy fix as I made a custom aluminum collar that can be unbolted and new plexiglass put in. The front sunroof needs a little attention too as it is vintage and one of the front hinges has come loose. Now for any areas of concerns. The van needs a transmission tailshaft seal as it drips from time to time, but not a major problem. The wheels are 8" wide turbines all the way around. The front bearings will need to be replaced in the the future because wide wheels take a toll on front wheel bearings over time. The van drives fine, I just know it inside and out and trying to be as open as I can. There are dings and small dents in the front and rear and are visible in the pictures. Back in the day somebody did the copper paint scheme over the cream color that the boomerang is of. There is no bondo in the sheetmetal except for where the vintage fiberglass flare mold into the body. This is not a buy and flip vehicle for me. This van was my baby and everyday life. People ask, Can I drive it to California??? Yeah if you have a month and a half. It is a 3 speed on the tree, a 10 bolt rear end with 3:73 gears, so modern day highway speeds are not really obtainable. Cruising speed in it are from 52-56mph. Over that you run out of gear. Its great for in town running around or two lane backroad trips. The brakes have all been updated with new drums, shoes, hardware, master cylinder and brake lines.Buyer responsible for Pick Up or Shipping.I've tried to give you all the "Ins and Outs" of my van. If you need more info please ask. This is a "NO RESERVE" auction starting at $1.00 so bid with confidence!!!
