Im relisting this truck after a United Kingdom buyer won the auction last time and tried pulling a scam. So, I have excluded everyone outside the USA this time around. I apologize for any inconvienience.
This is a 1950 Chevy 3800 that I found in a barn that was being torn down. It was parked in 1976 and has sat ever since. Thankfully they drained the fuel before parking. We were able to clean the points and fill with fresh fuel and it fired right up. Runs very smooth. No smoke or leaks. The man who owned this truck was the original purchaser and was very maticulus about the maintenance on his equipment. The truck was parked in the old blacksmith shop (see photos). It is 99% rust free. The underside is 100% rust free. The 3 areas of rust are, the hood emblem, drivers lower rocker about the size of a silver dollar, and the passenger floor where your foot meets the door frame, also the size of a silver dollar. All the glass is great with no cracks except for a chip in the drivers windshield. All windows roll up and down on their own. Door handles operate smooth, and the key lock actually works good. The interior needs redone but it is all complete. The seat is on an adjustable slider and works good. All gauges work as well as the dome light. Has the ash tray in the center. This truck was driven in the parades, it had 2 hand painted banners underneath the seat from 1967 that do NOT go with the truck (see photo). Also under the seat are 3 factory folding reflectors for the side of the road for hazard markings. The outside of the truck is very impressive I think. Has very few dings and is very straight. All of the wiring appears to be factory and all in its stock location. The paint is actually underneath all the years of barn condensation but its nothing that's gonna buff out. The rear tires are new from 1976 CO-OP brand. front tires are weather cracked but hold air. If you would like a video or more pics please email me.
