1969 ZL-1 Rally Sport Camaro
I am selling this Completed ZL-1 Camaro for a Customer because I Built it for him at my shop and I know this Camaro inside out....
This Camaro was Built to Recreate the Original RS ZL-1 # 55 and then the customer added a few Options to the Build.
I show an Appraisal of another Recreation of RS ZL-1 # 55 that I Built...You can see the Value and Quality of my Builds.
This ZL-1 Camaro was Built less that a year ago and has always been Garaged since.
Every Car Show that it has been in, this Camaro has Taken First Place.....
It has 363 miles on it now... And is as Perfect as when it left my shop...:)
Look at the Reflections of the Flag Poles in the PPG Paint....“See Pictures”
This all Aluminum ZL-1 427 Engine on the Dyno is 600 hp and 608 Torque but is Very Street Able.
Very Low End Torque ...at 2700 RPM it is 580 in Torque “See Torque Sheet Picture's”
This is a Full Roller Engine with High-End Parts Installed...$20,000 in the Engine Build alone.
You can run 91 Octane Pump Gas in the car.
Why Buy a Camaro from Barrett Jackson Auction when you know Nothing about the Car
Most people have only looked at it on Stage for 30 Seconds while Bidding...
You know Nothing on how the car was Built or what's under the Paint, or How the Engine was Built and what other Parts were used in the Restoration???
I have all the Build Pictures of this ZL-1 Camaro from Start to Finish and the Dyno Sheets so you know what you are Getting...
GM Built the ZL-1 Camaro to Compete against the 426 Hemi... “See the Race Picture”...
The saying was “Win on Sunday and Sell on Monday.”....And Yes it did Beat the Hemi Cars.
But they also gave the ZL-1 a Z28 Style Suspension.
With the Light Weight Aluminum ZL-1 427 Weighing the same as a 302 Z28 Small Block...
The ZL-1 could Corner and Brake Very Well also...So that is why the ZL-1 is "King of the Muscle Cars".
Remember the Z28s were Winning in SCCA Racing at the time also.
This Muscle Car was Built as a Correct Replica of the LeMans Blue Rally Sport ZL-1 #55 with the White Stripes.
Chevy only Built “Two Rally Sport” ZL-1 Camaros and one was LeMans Blue with these Special Dealer Installed 427 Badges and Special White Stripping...
It is as Close as you can Get to a Real ZL-1 with out Spending over $500,000
Put this ZL-1 Replica side by side of an Original and it would be hard to tell the Difference.
This Camaro you see now has had a“Complete Rotisserie Restoration” and only has 363 Miles on it.
Every nut, bolt, wiring harness was taken off of this car.
Every Part is either New or Rebuilt.
There is not one part that was left untouched.
The Car was taken to Bare Metal.
The Paint is Incredible. Pictures Do Not do the Paint Justice.
Most People at a Car Show will look First at the Paint and then will look at the rest of the Car.
The Block is a new ZL-1 427 Block made from the (Original) ZL-1 Molds.
The Original 1969 ZL-1 Mold was found in 1998 buy a Chevrolet Engineer when the Winters Foundry was closing their doors.
The Chevrolet Engineer then Pushed Chevy to make these ZL-1 Blocks again in Limited Quantities.
This same Now Retired Engineer did the Up-Dating on the New ZL-1 Blocks.
They have the Old Casting Numbers on the Block...
This Block will be a Collectors Item because very few were made.

The Chevrolet "Black and Gold Prototype" ZL-1s used a Holley 780 cfm Carb List #4346 and
a 3933163 Intake so a Choke could be used....That is what is on this ZL-1 to make it a more Street-able.
The Transmission is a 1969 Dated Muncie with Correct Hurst Shifter
The 12 Bolt Rear end is rebuilt with 373 gears, Posi and Rear Disc Brakes.
