Car description |
---|
Had a little mishap with my Callaway Corvette Convertible, only has 55,000 miles rare car one of only 63 Converts built in 1987.
Chevy sent 180 cars or so to Callaway Cars to have them converted to twin turbos and had a top speed of 180 miles per hour.
This is one number 105 of the first year of three that the cars were built. This was a $20,000 plus option above the cost of the car, Over $50,000 in 1987 was a lot of money
Has a engine fire about a month ago and the car now has a salvage title. This car could be rebuilt or it has a neat driveline and suspension for a streetrod or street machine. Car is not drive-able in current condition will need to be towed home. Is a manual transmission with overdrive and also has a Dana rear differential. Newer top and good interior, will need a good cleaning and driver side carpet.
Motor was updated at Callaway with 4 bolt and lower compression to handle the twin turbos. Has 10 fuel injectors! Fun car to drive, would be a neat motor for a Camaro, Chevelle or old truck. Be the only one with a Callaway powered super car.
Have Salvage title in hand in my name
Second Photo is how it looked before June 3rd. Just settled with my insurance company
