Description
This is a 1965 Chevrolet Corvair Convertible. The vin indicates it's a Corsa. The vin number is 107675W113866. However. I bought this gem from a race car mechanic in Sonoma. Ca. who also rebuilds and restores Corvairs on the side. He modified this Corsa into an automatic. and in doing so needed to use a Monza dash. So I guess it's a hybrid as Corsas were never automatic. I bought it simply because I loved the car. loved how it looked. loved the way it drove. loved that it was automatic mostly because I live in Los Angeles and driving a stick shift in this traffic is not fun. I didn't buy it because I was a finicky Corvair collector. The engine has been rebuilt. The odometer reads 43201. but the new engine has only a couple of hundred miles on it. 140 horse power with dual exhaust. Uses premium gas only. This car runs great. I have a local mechanic here in Los Angeles who only works on Corvairs. He recently put in a new fuel pump and adjusted the idle. There is nothing mechanically wrong with this car. It starts right up and runs great. I am selling this simply because I'm moving out of the country and can't take it with me. It's a great car. I hope it finds the right home.
