Thx for looking, We have a 1959 3100 deluxe Fleetside. This truck had an engine fire, therefor it was salvaged before i bought it. It still has a broken windshield, from the fire. Cab has a fair amount of rust, but great rat rod truck, looking cool.
So in 1958, was the last of the Cameo Fleet side trucks. So in the later 1959 assembly year, they started producing the deluxe Fleet side, to catch more buyers. They only built the deluxe for a few months, in 59, So they are extremely hard to find. I have only seen a handful in 20 years for sale. This truck was primed in zero rust primer@ $100 a gallon. It still needs final sanding and body work. no big dents, just small stuff, and floor and cab work.
There is everything available, sheet metal wise, to fix these cabs. The engine is a 350, with a 3 speed overdrive. The overdrive is missing electrical, therefor, is only a 3 speed now. She has a 12 bolt rear end out of an early C-10 blazer, and wheels from that. Has 4 great like new tires.
I started to put in a American wiring harness. its 90% finished. still needs turn signals and heater, wipers. finished. No time to finish, needs new carburetor, and final salvage title work done to get title. Its in my name, just needs signals and brake lights finished to proceed. It will start and run, but radiator leaks, and heater core leaks.THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR LOOKING, AND HAVE A GREAT DAY.
GOOD LUCK BIDDING, ON THIS RARE, INCREDIBLE FIND, SHORT BED FLEET SIDE DELUXE.
