1968 Camaro
I never drive it and I'd like to pass it on to someone who will enjoy it more than I do. Life is just too busy for me. It has around ~68k miles which I believe are original. Originally it was Butternut Yellow (exterior), now it's Maroon. Black interior with bucket seats. I was told that it originally had a 396 big block, now it has a 454 replaced in the 70's. The big block casting number is 3963512 and the date stamp is k49 which I believe means that it was made in November 1969. It runs very nice, very nice idle. Automatic transmission. 12 bolt rear.
Complete professional 'preservation' in 2008. It got completely taken apart, cleaned, repaired where needed, and put back together again. Engine and Trans were painted at that time, along with the front sub-frame, rear end, and the underside of the car. We then buffed the exterior paint which shines quite nice. It's very solid. No rust - it's very clean. Four wheel disc brakes were added at that time as well - it had 4 wheel drums when I got it.Interior is very stock and original. No radio. Vinyl in good shape but a couple of wear cracks in then seat surface. Door panels are old but ok. Headliner fine overall and the interior is intact. The wipers and motor work. Carpets are great shape. Doors shut soundly and no sag.Body is very nice. One 'ding' on the top of the rear fender. I tried to take a lot of photos but I can take more for you if requested. The car runs and drives well, just needs some more sorting to be even better. It's been sitting too much for the last few years - I drive it maybe 100 miles each year; this is why I'd like to sell it - it needs to be driven more. Rear tires are a little too big and they rub sometimes. No leaks or drips, motors runs cool and steady, do not need to add oil regular and the motor does not smoke.
I can help with shipping and transport. Or you can drive the Camaro home. The car is parked and stored in a heated garage at my house, exactly as shown. Please let me know if you have questions. Thank you.
