Just got this truck out of an estate.
The former owner had a Vintage truck parts & restoration business.
This was his personal baby.
He installed the biggest cubic inch GM motor he could find:
A Caddy 472-V, Aluminum Edlebrock Performer intake, Edelbrock AFB 4 barrel carb. A Crossflow 4 row Aluminum radiator with twin electric fans. A full length aluminized dual exhaust system with tips that come out the very rear of the flatbed .
The original 59 suspension was replaced with a 1973 Chev C-10 front end with power disc brakes and power steering. The tilt steering column came from the same 73 C-10 ...all custom fitted to make this truck a joy to drive. Rear end is a 12 bolt from the same 1973 .
All 5 lug "Crager" 15"Chrome spoke wheels .
This truck has a custom "IN-DASH" (R-134a) Air Conditioning system with a Sanden rotary compressor that works like a charm in the hot desert here.
The interior was fitted with leather seats and console that look beautiful in this truck. Floors are custom carperted also.
Custom dash board with all "Dolphin" custom gauges. A custom Automatic "Jenny"floor shifter works the GM turbo 400 3speed Auto transmission.
The Pioneer Am-Fm CD player has a 4 speaker system that works great.
Has a new windshield with a new gasket. The electric wipers work great.The door rubbers have been replaced as well as the door latches / striker plates. The doors close tight and no rattles. Interior door handles /window cranks are like new. Windows roll up and down great.
The older paint job is either in need of repainting or left alone- it is on it's way to the "patina" that so many people are looking for.
A vintage chrome tubular grill replaced the original grill years ago. Has Chrome Headlight surrounds and a chrome front bumper.
The flatbed is all light weight diamond plate aluminum panels custom made by the owner. 4 LED taillights at the tail end .
This truck runs and drives excellent ....like a modern truck.
With all the power in the world the 472 cubic inch torque monster V-8 makes this truck fly!!!
