Car description

WE ARE HILL CITY HOT RODS LOCATED IN LYNCHBURG, VIRGINIA.

WE HAVE BEEN A VIRGINIA DEALER FOR 30 YEARS. WE SPECIALIZE IN LIFTED TRUCKS, JEEPS, CUSTOMS, COLLECTOR GRADE CLASSIC CARS AND RAT RODS.

"GRANNYS GROCERY GETTER"

THIS ISOUR 1970 CHEVY NOVA BIG BLOCK SLEEPER.

IT HAS A 396 / 375 HORSE ENGINE, 4 SPEED MUNCIE TRANSMISSION, POWER STEERING AND POWER DISC BRAKES.

This car sold new here in Virginia and has been here its entire life. It had 1 owner until 1985 when that gentleman passed away. At that time the car was parked in a building where it sat untouched for years. I purchased the car last year in its 100% original untouched condition. This car was originally a 250 6 cyl. car with a powerglide trans so it made the perfect sleeper street racer. I built a fresh 396 / 375 HP engine and a 4 speed Muncie transmission.

The car has all original paint with the exception of the hood. After installing the big block engine the original flat hood would not fit so we installed a 2 inch cowl hood and painted and aged it to look original.

Super solid body with original paint and very little rust. The floors look great. The car has a small amount of rust in the rear wheel lips and a small spot in the trunk next to the passenger side wheel house.

The engine has 640 miles on it since rebuild. It is a standard bore 396 block casting 3999290 dated J28 72 and stamped CE meaning Counter Exchange. It has a standard, unturned steel forged crankshaft and a set of square port heads casting 3964291. It has the correct original grind solid lift 375 horsepower camshaft and sounds awesome.

FLOWMASTER 3 INCH EXHAUST

We also installed a new gas tank, all new fuel lines, brake lines, front disc brakes, power brake booster, rear brakes, rear wheel cylinders and new tires keeping the original wheels and hub caps. The rear gear is a 272 so it drives great on the highway and tachs 2350 rpm at 60 mph.

We installed an original style Custom Auto Sound radio that has AUX connection and new speakers under the package trey.

Comfort grip steering wheel.

I BUILT THIS CAR TO BE DRIVEN. WE HAVE PUT A LOT OF FUN MILES ON IT TAKING IT TO CAR SHOWS & PARADES THIS SPRING. ITS BEEN TO SEVERAL BIG SHOWS INCLUDING RUN TO THE SUN AT MYRTLE BEACH IN MARCH AND IT ALWAYS GETS A LOT OF ATTENTION. ITS A SUPER FUN CAR TO DRIVE AND ITS IN GREAT CONDITION.

The lights, signals, heater and wipers all work as they should. The car has all the front and rear factory seat belts.

This car is very dependable. You can drive this car anywhere.

I have set a very fair Buy It Now price and you are welcome to call or text me for more details about the car or pricing. Also, many of my auctions do not make it to the end if a fair offer is made.
