Car description |

1950 Chevrolet Sport Coupe... perfect car for restoration, hot rod, or custom treatment.
I have way too many projects and not enough room, and not enough time....
so I'm going to sell this car, SORRY BUT... NO TRADES.
Hard to find... 1950 Chevy Sport Coupe, inline 6 cylinder, 3 speed manual transmission, 2 door. Nothing fancy!
The car runs, stops and drives like an old car.
The engine is a little weak... it does not smoke, but it's no power house by any means. I've drove it around town, and to local cruise nights only.
The Good Stuff...
The floors and frame on the car are nice, there are no visible patches that I can see to the
doors, floors or quarters. the front fenders are good, the car doesn't seem to have the rust in the usual places. the trunk is very solid with only a few very, very small rust holes in the spare tire well. The trunk shock mounts and trunk floor is very solid. ALSO the brown spots you see on the car are not rust or surfface rust... it is primer where the the paint as popped off. The car has pretty cool patina actually.
The Bad Stuff...
The passenger side front fender has a small bend at the lower back side of the wheel opening, and the passenger rocker has a few very small rust holes, also the passenger door seam at the bottom has come apart... it's not rusty it just come apart. The door pillar/roof seam on the drivers side is a little funky. The front and side glass has some cracks and fog/bubbles in them. the back window is nice. The interior is in ruff/barn find condition. I have a fleece cover on the front seat. the headliner was replaced at some time with vinyl and doesn't look to bad
This car not a rust bucket or has it ever been a rust bucket like a lot of these cars can be,
it is just a nice old car that sat in a shed until a few years ago.
This car is straight and VERY solid, the body sheet metal seems to be good, except for the few little spots I mentioned.
This car is a perfect candidate to leave alone and have fun with, or restore.
I have a clear Illinois title in my name and in my hand for this car.
I tried to be as honest as possible, PLEASE ask any questions you may have 5seven three 4 zero 6 seven 5 seven 3 before bidding, I want you to have complete confidence in what you
are bidding on. It's MUCH easier for me to tell you about the car than to type it in this description
With that being said, if you bid and win be prepared to buy!
No tire kickers or gotta/shoulda asked my wife or husband... you bid, you buy, you own!!!
It truely is a great car. It attracts more attention than you can imagine where ever you
take it. When you park it someplace you just stand back and watch the crowd gather.
Buyer is responsible for any or all shipping charges or fees. The Buyer also makes ALL shipping arrangements.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 is due within 24 hours of auction close. Balance is due before or at time of
pick up in cash or by bank wire transfer before the car leaves my site.
All sales are final... No warranties. The car is located in Quincy, Illinois, about 130 miles north of St. Louis, MO.
I will work with any buyer as much as possible to make the pick up of this car as easy as possible.
The car does have a clean Illinois title and is ready to go.
