Car description |
---|
Up for auction is my 1969 Corvette Convertible. This car has had a frame-on restoration using only the highest quality and most correct reproduction and original parts available. Every square inch has been highly detailed down to the nuts and bolts. It is very road worthy and I would trust it for any long distance trip, rain or shine, hot or cold! I have a file full of receipts documenting all of the work and money that has been spent on it. I also have the original tank sticker! There is so much to list when it comes to everything that has been performed but I will do my best to answer any questions.
BODY-Original Yellow Car-The car has never been in any accident and it hasn't had any repair work that I am aware of-There isn't (and never has had) any rust in the windshield frame or chassis-It has a newer, flawless base coat/clear coat paint job. The fit of the doors, headlights, decklid, and etc. are excellent!!I've never seen a Corvette with gaps between panels this nice!-The front and rear bumpers have been re-chromed and every piece of stainless has been polished to perfection.-All new wiring harnesses throughout the entire car
INTERIOR-All new dated door glass and rearview mirror! New non-dated windshield-New carpet, seat covers and foam, door panels, door hardware, dash pad, center console trim, and all console related components-All of the gauges have been restored including the clock (quartz movement) and they all work flawlessly-Fiber optics work well-Headlights and wiper door perform very well (no vacuum leaks). All vacuum related parts including lines have been replaced-Improved AC which blows super cold. The original AC equipment is included with the car.-All new weatherstripping
TOP-New Convertible top that is water-tight and fits perfectly.-New weatherstripping-Hardtop is included but hasn't been restored.
ENGINE & ENGINE COMPARTMENT, DRIVETRAIN-Original matching numbers 427 engine that is NOT a re-stamp-Completely rebuilt from the carburetor to the oil pan by a local, well known NASCAR engine builder. The engine hasn't been modified or hot-rodded. All of the precision machine work and assembly was done with quality and durability in mind. No expense has been spared and only the best parts available were used.-New carburetor-New fuel pump-New fuel lines-New fan clutch-New water pump-New hoses & belts-New plugs and wires-New/restored distributor-New radiator by DeWitts (identical in appearance to the original)-Entirely new exhaust system-New clutch and pressure plate-Original M20 transmission was replaced at one time but was replaced with another M20-Original rear end-All new universal joints-SO MUCH MORE!!Wheels And Tires-Four new BF Goodrich Tires-Fully restored Rally wheels
CHASSIS-Very well cleaned undercarriage/chassis-New shocks-New springs-New bushings
If you want a car built to exact NCRS Top Flight requirements then this is close. NCRS wants semi-rough paint, paint overspray, poor body panel fit, etc. I personally prefer a nicer riding and better-than-original looking car as long as it's matching numbers and correct in mostly every other way. I would trust driving this car as is anywhere.I have nothing to hide and will be more than happy to answer all questions.
