[isdntekvideo] 1972 Chevrolet Truck K10 Short Bed DRIVE TRAIN: Engine is 350 with HEI and Quadra-Jet 4BBL. The truck starts & runs perfectly every time without exception. This is a standard GM 350 engine that is not going to win any burnout contest or 1/4 miles awards. It will however most probably drive straight across the USA tomorrow with no issues. Transmission is 3 speed automatic 350TH and shifts very smoothly without hesitation. Rear gears if I had to guess are 3:55 she revs about 2800 RPM on freeway at 75MPH. Truck has zero noise at any speed from axles or rear diff. NP205 4x4 Transfer Case has been tested in all 3 positions last week and performed flawlessly. Shifts and drives into each gear with transmission in neutral as designed. Dual Exhaust is very clean sounding with nice rumble and hum. Engine Bay is clean and presentable, nothing to write home about but still proud enough to lift the hood at cruise night. PAINT: Current condition of the paint on this truck is what is commonly described as very nice 20 footer. Perfect for Daily Driver and off road use, still respectable on cruise in night or local car shows. Dark Green Paint approx 10-12 yrs old has some clear coat checking on top of fenders, small Paint chips, 2 small hood paint bubbles have popped off. You will find paint scratches and imperfections. Body has no dents or significant dings in fact it’s very straight. Again it’s a great driver quality paint job but it’s also time to step it up to Show quality paint level if it’s in your Budget. BODY/RUST: Body has no dents or significant dings in fact it’s very straight. Body does have Paint rust bubbles on driver side rocker panel and passenger door lower bottom. Doors and hood line up nice both sides, doors and hood close exactly as they should solid and tight. Exterior body moldings & trim are complete and in very nice driver condition. Roof and Roof rails are in good shape and can be seen in the full you tube video. Overall what ever was going to happen to this paint and body has already happened years ago. TIRES & WHEELS: Wheels are GM Rally 15x8 front and rear with new 3” Beauty Rings and 4x4 Center Caps. Front Manual hub locks are Warn brand. Currently Tires are old 32x11.5x15 and should be replaced with preferred 33x12.5 MT or AT tires in my opinion. INTERIOR: The inside cabin of the truck is very presentable and very clean. Again not trophy winner but awesome for daily driver condition with nothing required to enjoy it this summer except getting New AC Compressor installed & charged.AC and Heater Controls & Fan switch works perfectly, heater kicks ass.Dash gauge lights and indicators all work bright and as designed. Speedometer, Tach & Fuel gauges work as designed. Water Temp & Oil Pressure gauges work as well. Speedo cable gear on trans is off by about 20 MPH. AM/FM radio cassette player is older & should be upgraded. Lower door panels have cut outs for 6x9 Speakers, sheet metal currently installed was because someone used them to house 6 inch round speakers (see pictures in video) Sylvania Holden Headlights, Brand new dark green carpet kit Very Sanitary & solid interior. BED: The interior Bed of this K10 has a decent usable Allstar plastic bed liner. Under that bed liner is older non matching green paint with normal wear & tear, dings & dents. Tailgate functions just as designed and does not rattle or shake going down the road. This rig has been well cared for, garaged and kept up and that shows. Going to town for happy hour, headed on an over night trip, interstate driving or just going out to climb mountains this truck does it all. Very dependable over last 30 days it’s been in my care. I’m a truck whore and I enjoy driving different rigs often so we’ve only been dating a short while if you get my drift. I’ve loved this one long enough so it’s time for the next lucky Guy. This K10 is a solid rig with a pretty nice SPID sheet in the Glove box indicating “Cheyenne Equipment” with 350/V8 OEM, Dark Olive Green, Paint Stripe, Tachometer, AM/FM Radio and Rear Posi-Traction options. This Chevy K10 4x4 Short bed Truck is located in Southern California Zip 92562. This is not a cut down long bed now or ever. This is a hard to find solid driving running respectable short bed 4x4 1972 American Icon of a truck that will never go down in value. Clear California Title & CA Current Registration. The truck can be viewed and test driven by appointment only. Please text or call 951.691.2669 for inspection or to arrange for shipping.
