Car description |
---|
The spark plug wires have been changed as well as the plug shields, I'm sorry that I did not catch this before. I have the original plug shields that go with the car. But I wire wheeled them. I regret that to this day.
On Apr-28-18 at 19:02:28 PDT, seller added the following information:When I bought the car from Pro Team Corvette it did not have any documentation. The documentation I have is from the original owner Ben Ditzler, whom I met in person in 2001. Ben and I are NCRS members. Ben posted an add in the NCRS monthly publication Driveline looking for the whereabouts of the car he bought originally in 66. I saw the add and called him. At the time he kept track of the car until it left PA. When I called him I asked if he had any original paperwork, he said yes. It sounds to good to be true but I have the original copy of the NCRS Driveline and his add looking for the car with the VIN. That is when I purchased the documentation from him..
On Apr-28-18 at 19:29:45 PDT, seller added the following information:Please keep in mind the car has been parked for 15 years. The brakes are locked up and the car needs to be pulled out of my garage, without any brakes at all. The master cylinder is empty and one of the calipers allowed all of the fluid to drain.
On Apr-29-18 at 15:52:27 PDT, seller added the following information:I have the original valve covers, that I bought from the original owner (Ben Ditzler). He said they were original to the car, but they have the AC dent, clearly the car never had AC. Did Chevrolet run out of valve covers and install what they had at the time? I don't know. They go with the car.
On Apr-29-18 at 16:06:40 PDT, seller added the following information:The correct carb is not on the car. It has been restored and goes with the car I just included a pic of the air horn with the numbers Holley 3370 and the correct date.
On Apr-30-18 at 16:31:47 PDT, seller added the following information:I have decided not to show the car in person to anyone at this point. I am working out of town and just do not have the time. I won't be home until Saturday. I'm sorry if the car does not meet reserve I will most likely keep it. Thanks for your understanding.
On May-01-18 at 17:50:29 PDT, seller added the following information:I've lowered the reserve to a very reasonable price for a car that is so rare and unrestored with documentation. Thanks everyone for your bids.
On May-02-18 at 16:30:56 PDT, seller added the following information:I have had some questions concerning the frame condition. When I bought the car back in 1999 from Pro Team Corvette they did a full inspection of the entire car, including the frame, I still have all that paperwork. The car has been in my garage since I bought it. The garage floor is a concrete floor that was sealed with paint since the 70's. I don't believe there has been any considerable frame damage since I bought the car from Pro Team.
On May-02-18 at 17:28:39 PDT, seller added the following information:I have had multiple questions about the tach, Including" Why does the car have a small block tach? Please do your homework, before you ask "dumb" questions. You know who you are. Do not pick my car apart it's an original 66 427/390. What were you thinking I am trying to convert it to a small block and the first thing I had a chance to change was the tach?
