1952 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup. Purchased from my neighbor who inherited the truck from his Uncle's estate. His Uncle bought the truck new in 1952. The truck is in incredible original condition and it appears to never have been wrecked or disassembled. The body panels are as straight as new. The bed is pristine (notice the front panel and the tailgate) and has a metal plate welded over the original wood bed. Notice how straight both bumpers are. The wood appears to be in fairly good shape considering. The maroon paint was painted over the original green paint and is pretty rough but the patina could be a perfect "rat rod" candidate. I pulled out the carpet and headliner that was installed apparently around 1990 (notice license plate on floor board) and was nasty. The license plate was found underneath the carpet and fiberglass sheeting as a "repair panel" I guess for the rusted out floor. First time for everything I guess.... I have tried to show all of the rust consisting mainly in the floor and both cowls where the fenders mount - pretty common in this vintage. Rockers are good. The cab corners appear to have been bondo'd prior to the amateur paint job. The chassis has surface rust only and is in great shape. The truck runs, drives and stops. Clutch is weak and the brakes are poor but do work. Motor is the original 217 cubic inch straight 6 and runs good. Truck is complete and would make a great "builder" for someone who wants an original truck or get creative and make it that "one of a kind" cruiser!Truck is located in OKC, OK.
