Car description |
---|
This 1967 Chevelle SS real deal 138 VIN has recently had a frame off restoration and features a big block 396, 400 Turbo, and 12 bolt rear end. The interior has been re-uphoulstered in black and the exterior has been refinished in an head turning red and it sits on 17x8’’ and 18”9’’ Retro chrome wheels.
The interior features bucket seats and console with factory clock. New seat covers have been fitted as well as new carpet, headliner, door panels, and arm rests. The dash has been refurbished in bright new chrome trim and retains its original wiring and speedometer cluster, warning lights not gauges, and a new Classic Auto Sound radio has been installed. The speedometer, lights, and clock are all in working order.
The exterior features all new chrome bumpers, grille, trim, door handles, and emblems. New front and rear glass. The paint job is very straight and is about an 8/10 show quality paint job, there are a few scratches and edge chips that have been touched up shown in the picture but overall it is a very slick paint job. And a vinyl top has been added though not factory.
The drive line features a rebuilt 396, non original motor date coded ’68, a rebuilt B&M 400 turbo automatic transmission, and a 12 bolt rear end. The car also features power disc brakes and power steering. This is also a factory AC car but the condenser and pump are missing. Its been test driven and the bugs have been worked out since restoration, the engine runs very smooth, no valve train noise, and rumbles out the back through its 2.5” exhaust.
The undercarriage of this chevelle was very solid (this was a southern car, Atlanta factory), the floor pans were solid and have been sandblasted and then undercoated, the trunk floor was replaced with a full one piece trunk and looks excellent, the wheel wells were in great condition as well. The frame was sandblasted and painted in black, the front control arms have had new bushings installed. New front and rear shocks as well.
This is a very nice example of a real deal 138 ’67 Chevelle SS, it looks gorgeous, sounds great, and is a very nice driver. Now is your chance to own this Chevelle just in time for car shows and cruising this summer!
This car is for sale locally as well and the listing may be removed early
