ODO reads 98k, so 98, 198, 298?. Title reads 'exempt'
Took this in recently. Couldn't help but to drive it around a bit. Thoroughly impressed with how well it runs and looks.
Daily Driver OR well on it's way already in restoration.
I will be researching both the car and the engine when I get the chance but If you're interested in this truck, I'm sure you'll know more about it upon inspection than I will studying. I've had two friends who know these trucks look already and both couldn't stop nodding their heads.
Most notable is the condition of the trim. Drivers side headlight area is pretty rough, really rough and one small spot on the passenger side qtr panel but the rest looks, I have to say, 'new'.. Kinda hard to believe but I keep walking out to look at it.
The bed has a couple of rust spots and drivers door, lower back corner is rusting, Haven't crawled under it yet but engine bay and the rest of the body is in 'semi restored' great condition.
According to: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/Chevyear.htm, vin decodes as follows
C - 4x2
E - V8 gas
2 - 3/4 ton (also why it's a C20 not a C10)
4 - Pickup w/cab & bed - as opposed to 'chassis' I guess
8 - Model Year (1968)
F - Plant = Flint, MI
More to come as I dig but it's a must see / drive anyway
Thanks for looking.
