GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1977 Chevrolet K5 Blazer for consideration. This build is unique from the ground up! It starts with a Rhino Lined Black exterior finish paired with a Tan cloth interior. It has been lifted 8 inches all the way around and has a set of Goodyear Wrangler MT 37x12.50R16.5LT tires wrapped over a set of 16.5-inch black wheels. The power plant in this Blazer is a 5.3 Liter V8 LSX out of a... 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe, the owner believes it currently sits with about 120,000 miles on it. The transmission is a Turbo 400 that shifts smoothly and is strong in every gear. Other features include; front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, brake booster, manual windows including rear cab, power steering, heater, functional seats and much more. The K5 Blazer was introduced by Chevrolet in 1969. It was designed and marketed to compete with International Harvester's Scout and Ford's Bronco. The edge the Blazer had above its rivals was to simply offer a shorted pickup truck, which both increased interior space and lowered cost of production with a shared platform. The success of the Blazer prompted GMC, to offer its own version of the truck, The Jimmy. The Blazers and Jimmy's ruled the newly created SUV market for two decades and today remain a favorite choice of vintage 4X4 enthusiasts all over North America.
