Car description

Swooping lines and big fat fenders make this 1940 coupe a great pre-WWII classic. Being the rare Chevrolet in a sea of Fords from that era, makes it a bit unique. Modern running gear along with some comfort and convenience upgrades makes it a car you could drive every day.
At the front of that long-tapered hood, there is a powder coated grill that reaches forward in the center, spreads across the front of the car, and reaches for the ground. Its matched by a powder coated bumper that protects its nose from minor mishaps. Headlights are perched on top of the fenders at the leading edge of aerodynamic pods and carry on the powder coated look with their bezels. A simple red pinstripe runs down the side of the car from the front of the hood to the tops of the rear fenders. That leaves plenty of space at the rear of the car to let the gloss black paint show off the curves of the body. The trunk lid is where the pin stripe painter got to strut their stuff with a beautiful custom piece of work. Simple, minimalist lighting keeps the look clean, while the delicate brightwork around the windows and over the doors is matched by the flash of the American Racing wheels.
Open the door and will find a charcoal door panel punctuated by bright door and cranks for both the main window and the vent window. But you may not be using the vent window much, except for fun, because A/C has been added to this car for summertime cruising in comfort. A 3-spoke Grant steering wheel feels good in your hands and is mounted on a tilt column. Behind that is a gorgeous painted dash with more of that custom pinstriping gracing the center top. White faced gauges are set into an Art Deco panel with splashes of chrome to help you keep track of your speed and critical engine functions. A modern sound system is just below that for your listening pleasure, and below that, the A/C vents to keep you cool. Custom leather bucket seats are comfortable places to cruise across town, or cross country. And the trunk in this car would be able to carry everything you need for a cross country trip.
The drivetrain on this car has been upgraded a bit as well, so it would be well suited for that long distance traveling if you choose, or for short distance traveling to a drive in or local show. A 350-cubic inch V8 was warmed over in order to make a bit more power and is nestled under that tapered hood. A chrome air filter housing sits on top or a Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and feeds into a Summit aluminum intake. Chrome valve covers add some flash to the engine bay, and an aluminum radiator keeps things cool. An upgrade to power front disc brakes provide some nice stopping power, and power assisted steering really helps in the parking lots. A 3-speed automatic sends the power back to a solid axle sitting on leaf springs with coil over shocks getting the assist. The rubber meets the road through 195/65R15 tires in the front and 215/70R15s in the rear.
This is a nice, all steel body car that looks good, drives great, and is ready to roll. Come on in and check it out. You may end up rolling it home to your house.
