Car description

Now that a lot of us have kids and families, full-sized hot rods are starting to make a lot of sense. Take this 1936 Chevrolet Master sedan for example: lots of room, a decent trunk, and still carrying all the upgrades you'd want in your next rod. And contrary to what you've been taught, some sedans look downright awesome when given the full treatment.
Sleek and aerodynamic, this Master was the top-of-the-line Chevy in '36 and shows off its Art-Deco influences throughout, a look that hasn't gone out of style and probably never will. Finished in an appropriate medium burgundy, it's pretty close to what it might have worn when it was new, so it looks right. The body is 100% GM steel to capture the true full-fendered look, and there are no custom parts, no shaved trim, no additions that detract from the original styling. Fit and finish are quite good considering that the paint is 15 years old, and the doors close with that distinctive sound that only vintage cars demonstrate. All of the original trim's still in place, too, including the lovely waterfall grille, hood trim, and scrolled door handles that look like miniature works of art, even on a Chevy. Accessories like the fog lights, headlight visors, and side mirrors add a little flash, and even the running boards are trimmed properly so they're still usable as intended.
The interior sticks with traditional '30s materials, offering tan cloth upholstery, original bench seats, and a dedication to keeping it true. Burgundy paint covers the dash and garnish moldings, offering a clean look that seems like it could have been the way it was in 1936. The original dash has been dressed up with a billet gauge panel full of white-faced gauges from VDO and controls for the Vintage Air HVAC system in the center. A wood-rimmed steering wheel on a tilt column looks great, and for entertainment, there's a Pioneer stereo system tucked under the dash. The trunk is big enough to carry a surprising amount of luggage on your next road trip, even with the battery back there, so get ready for a road trip!
The most critical ingredient in any rod is the powertrain, and this Chevy delivers with a 350 cubic inch V8 that has been neatly wedged between the flowing front fenders. Topped by an aluminum Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carburetor, it gives this vintage sedan the moves of a much younger car. It's also neatly dressed with a bit of chrome, an open-element air cleaner, and Bowtie-emblem aluminum valve covers. A big radiator keeps things cool with a giant electric fan to help out, and somehow they managed to tuck all the accessories in there so the hood closes tight. Underneath you'll find a Mustang II front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering and 4-wheel disc brakes complements of a Lincoln Versailles rear end, so it drives like a much more modern car. A TH350 3-speed automatic transmission means cruising is simple, and the dual exhaust system features Flowmaster mufflers for a mellow sound that doesn't get annoying on long trips. Sparkling chrome wire wheels contrast with the burgundy paint and wear 15-inch wide whitewall radials.
A well-built rod that needs no excuses, this '36 Chevy combines plenty of style and performance with the space to take the family with you, all at a very reasonable price. Call today!
