Up for sale is an inherited restoration project with a HUGE portion of the project already complete - the bodywork. This 1968 L78 manual transmission (4 speed I believe) RSSS Camaro light blue exterior project was bought awhile back with hopes to start and finish this project where others have left off. But as with a lot of my restoration dreams, they sit for too long and the reality is I will never get to them all. This project appeared and remained in my garage exactly as you see it today. I have done nothing to it. The body work on the car is completely done in my opinion and primered and is a fantastic job in my opinion. The floors, truck and body are ready for paint in my opinion but you need to be the judge of that. I am not sure as to the extent of the original body work or whether NOS body parts were used or replacement or what had to be replaced originally or not. The interior of the car looks ready to go. Looks like the original headliner is still in the car but needs work.
This car comes with all the parts shown in that group picture and I apologize for it in advance not being presented better. It was sold to me as having most, if not all of the original parts with the car. I never laid them all out to check so I am selling it to you As Is and knowing parts may or may not be all there but there are A LOT of pieces there - from trim, door panels, windows, motor parts, grills, interior... The issue is Ebay limits pictures and there are so many i can not unpack them all for pictures. They all appear to be original but some appear to be re-chromed maybe or new. If you need me to find certain parts for you in there, just ask and i will search the best I can and send you pictures if needed. I know nothing about Chevrolet cars so be warned you will need to be specific. The motor had been removed prior to my purchase and appears to have been cleaned and prepped as well as magnafluxed from the writing still present on the side. i am told it is the correct motor for this car and does not appear to be altered but i am unsure if it has been bored over. I do not think so or it would be written on it I would think and the motor does not appeared to be at that stage of progression in the resto process yet anyhow. I believe it was just fluxed and cleaned. I do have both heads and crank and they appear to be correct and undamaged. I have not located the pistons or rods but i will look again. I am told the numbers on the block correspond correctly to the car identification numbers but I collect Mopar, not Chevrolet. Please keep in mind as to any car resto project passed along, I can make no guarantees about anything other than what we see and I was told. I am told the transmission is correct for the car year and model but the numbers do not correspond to this exact car but i do not know for sure since i do not speak Chevrolet.
Please keep in mind due to the desirability and value of this car of this car, as well as the fact I can not confirm the presence or condition of all the parts, I am selling this car AS IS and I express no guarantees as to the completeness of the car or its total originality of parts since I did not begin the restoration myself nor do i have access to pictures of the original car. With that said, to the best of my knowledge, it a real deal 1968 RSSS L78 4 speed light blue Camaro. I have plenty of extra pictures so if you can send me you text number with a specific request, I will be happy to accommodate you with whatever you need. Car is for sale locally as well so I do reserve the right to end the sale early. On Mar-27-18 at 08:36:25 PDT, seller added the following information:
