Car description

NO RESERVE!This is a 1949 Chevrolet 5 window truck. Power steering, power disc brakes, and auto Transmission! It is sitting on a 2003 s-10 frame with a GM 12 bolt rear end.I was told the engine is a 1970 4 bolt main, high nickel content "010" block. Did not verify the year of engine, but the other two facts were correct! The pan was pulled off for inspection, it had been rebuilt at some point and looked very clean inside! The Edlebrock intake was also pulled, again, very clean. New oil pan, intake, and valve cover gaskets. New water pump, thermostat, radiator, hoses, electric fan, fuel pump, fuel line. HEI distributor added, new plugs, wires, and starter . 4bbl Quadrajet of unknown specs. Engine was installed using s10 v8 conversion brackets.Transmission is a turbo hydromantic 350, new fluid and lines were installed. New shifter and speedo cable installed. It has power disc brakes in front and drum brakes in rear. New hard brake lines throughou, an adjustable proportioning valve, and new rear wheel cylinders were added.New gas tank and fuel lines were installed under the bed of the truck.Wheels are 17 inch American racing, tires are low profile, I don't recall the brand, but look very close to new.Recent viper red paint with clear coat added. Tail gate was not painted, but clear coated, windows out, trim off for paint. All new windows and seals with the exception of the corner glass. New door latches and window Chanel felts on both sides, new window regulator on driver's side. All new inside handles installed. A new chrome/off white grill was mounted at this point.Interior has new bucket seats, new gauges, new senders, new steering wheel. All the wiring throughout the truck is new, as is the fuse box and dimmer switch. Signals are wired and working even though they are not required in 1949. Tail lights are new LED units and they are bright!Floors have been replaced and coated with bed liner, cab corners have been repaired with metal welded in.This is a really cool old truck, it has been built as a "nice rat rod/hot rod".There are some imperfections in the paint/body etc. It was built to be a fun cruiser, not a show truck or trailer queen. It has been driven up and down the street a couple of times just to make sure it runs/drives, trans has all gears etc. The engine feels strong, it is loud and sounds tough!Since it was just put together, understand that there will most likely be bugs to work out and adjustments to be made.I have too many toys so this one has to go! If you would like to come see the truck, or have any questions, please ask, I will do my best to accommodate you. Title in hand!Bid only what you can and will pay for the truck, do not bid if you are not serious! A $500, non-refundable deposit is due at the end of the auction. Good luck and thanks for looking!
