Car description

Are you looking for that special first-generation Camaro to reward yourself with? Are you a collector who values rarity and originality? Do you appreciate extensive documentation? Then this very special, stock, numbers matching, well documented 1967 Camaro RS may be the car you are looking for.
The Camaro Research Group calculates that in 1967, only 17 RS models were produced in this beautiful, Bolero Red paint, with a Red interior, and the combination of 327 engine and 4-speed trans. Of those, how many still survive? Who knows. But check this one out. It's almost understated with very few badges indicating what it is. But those badges make quite a statement. RS is the only thing showing on the grill when the headlights are tucked away behind their doors, and RS also appears on the fenders along with 327 over the crossed racing flags and Camaro in script. An RS gas cap is the only other announcement made. It's a super clean look. The Black vinyl roof is a perfect compliment to the Red, and the rear spoiler looks super sweet. All the chrome and brightwork shines like new, and the Redline tires on rally sport wheels look just the way they did rolling off the showroom floor in '67.
This gorgeous red interior is one of the things that makes this car very desirable. Open the door and you are greeted by red door panels with splashes of chrome and stainless trim. Beautifully pleated bucket seats invite you in, where you grab the three-spoke, wood grain steering wheel. The center console is a work of art. Black and chrome with ventilation controls at the top and the radio just below them. There is a sweet set of gauges with fuel/temp, oil/battery, and a clock, sitting just above the white, 4-speed shift knob, mounted on its chrome stalk. The console heads back from there with its super clean look all the way to the courtesy light for the rear seat passengers. Nice. The tach and speedo are tucked back into their black trimmed shrouds, and it looks like a lot of pedals on the floor with the clutch and emergency brake added to the usual gas and brake pedals. Red carpets with vinyl Chevrolet floor matts and a red headliner complete this picture-perfect interior.
An L30/M20 RPO combination, means that this car was ordered with the intent on having some fun. They are the original, numbers matching pieces, and so desirable in large part, because, in combination, they created a true high-performance automobile. Open the hood and you will see an engine compartment that is well preserved, well detailed, and all stock except for an upgraded aluminum radiator. The air filter housing announces that precious, 327 Turbo Fire engine with 275 Horsepower. Power works its way back through the Saginaw 4-speed to a 10-bolt rear end with 3.08 gears. Front disc brakes provide great stopping power. The control arm front suspension and leaf spring rear end, along with the 20570R14 tires make the car handle very nicely. The drivetrain and underside of this car have received as much care and attention as the body and engine compartment. Everything is stock, in perfect working order, tight, right, and clean.
Words, or even pictures, don't convey the impact this car has in person. Come on down and see for yourself. Ask your salesman about the documentation. This may be the Camaro you have been looking for.
