1971 Chevy C-101/2 ton 2 Wheel DriveShortbed 3rd owner
Have you ever had one of those vehicles you said you would never sell ? This would be mine. I have owned this truck for about 10 years and the prior owner owned it for about that long also. I bought this truck after the prior owner passed away and he had purchased the truck at a auction somewhere, all I know is the truck came from Montanaor Idaho possibly. There used to be cowl emblems which said "Rodgers" from the dealer. I will tell you everything I can.
The truck was customized and repainted back in around late 90's. The color is Ochre & White. The white still shines but the other is pretty faded. The gas tank was removed from the cab and moved under the bed with a original blazer tank and a fuel door from a 80's chevy truck (I have a original tank if wanted). A steel cowl hood was also added at the same time. The rocker on the passenger side was replaced at that time as it was painted on the outside but not painted inside. The paint inside is all original, doors/dash etc. Driver side rocker is original and good but both lower cab corners look to need replaced. The engine is a 350 with a 350 auto trans. The truck has power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, original AM radio which is inop. Cargo light, bed liner, black interior carpet/seats/door panels, headliner, seatbelts.
Since I have owned the truck I lowered it with a Full Early Classic Enterpriseskit about 6 years ago which lowered the truck 4.5" in the front and 6" in the rear. The kit had new gas shocks, new spindles and springs in the front, springs in the rear, relocated rear shock mounts, adjustable panhard bar. Truck rides excellent. I installed a new edelbrock carb, HEI distributer, new power steering box, new alternator. I put on the wheels and tires which are Chevy rally wheels 15x10 rear and 15x8 front with new tires (less than 1000 miles). 2 years ago I had new duel exhaust with turbo mufflers installed and the truck does not have headers. I put a new heater core in about 3 years ago. I also had the driveline rebuilt with new u-joints and a new carrier bearing. I have a few classic vehicles and this one just hasn'tbeen driven much. Less then 1000 miles the last 3 years I now have a super nice 2WD 70 suburban so I will pass the truck on to someone else.
The truck runs and drives great, everything works but the ebrake and the radio. This truck is fine the way it is or would be a great truck for a full resto with new paint etc. This is not a show truck, the paint is old / faded and the work was done years ago. It is a pretty cool classic C-10 pickup.
I'm not in a position where I need to sell this truck and I'm not really interested in any trades.
I will need the depositand payment as stated and if needing to have this truck shipped I will help all I can. I am located in Bend Oregon which is the high desert center of the state 97701
Any transport of this truck will be set up by the buyer.
Payment in full will need to be cleared funds prior to releasing the truck & title
That's about it. Need more info, just ask.
