Car description

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro offers a pretty enticing proposition - namely, the chance to own one of the most coveted classic muscle cars of the late '60s that will arrive complete with a great looking exterior and a very healthy sounding engine, as well as an extensive collection of restoration photos to document all the attention that's been lavished upon it to bring it to its current impressive state.
Chevy had debuted the first generation of Camaros just a year before this one came out, and you can see they certainly took the importance of a strong first impression to heart. This '68 takes the timeless looks of that model and adds a few well-chosen mods - most notably a Z28 style scooped hood and a decklid spoiler . . . for an unbeatable result. The yellow exterior, ornamented by a pair of broad black stripes over the hood and deck lid, looks great on this classic, and the paint is in nice shape, exuding an even glow. Up top, the black vinyl top has a fresh look to it, providing solid evidence that this classic has seen a sheltered life, spared from the elements. Step around to the front, and you'll see that the set of aftermarket Tri Bar headlights looks very fresh and provides a great aftermarket touch. Those finishing details we look for in a classic like this have been looked after - the front and back bumpers and chrome trim are in good condition, the badging sharp and well-positioned, and the glass on all four sides is nice and clear.
It's pretty easy to see that a lot of time and attention went into this interior, which features a largely stock configuration that carries some great custom touches. Open the driver's side door and you'll be greeted by a pair of black vinyl bucket seats that are framed in yellow to match the exterior and look as if they've seen very little action, while in back, the bench seat has been thoroughly refurbished to match the color scheme of the buckets. Fresh black carpeting sits underneath the seating, and a healthy layer of sound and heat insulation resides beneath that. A Grant GT wheel sits in place of the original, and just beyond you'll find a dash area that's retained its stock look and benefits from the installation of a column mounted tach to monitor revs, and two cupholders that sit at the front of a very clean center console. The original gauges are still holding court in the instrument cluster, looking impressively readable. In back, the trunk area is in very clean shape, lined with black carpeting bearing the signature Chevy bowtie at its center.
A 350-cubic inch V8 sits underneath the scooped hood and provides far more power than its original counterpart. Crowned with an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and a 4-barrel carb, it's running strong and sounds great as it exhales into its FlowMaster exhaust. The power plant is mated with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission that's shifting with all the precision you'd want, to make for a very compelling drivetrain. It's very street-ready, as well, equipped with power steering to make navigating a breeze, with a pair of disc brakes up front for fade-resistant stopping power. This classic Chevrolet muscle car sits on a set of 17" torque thrust wheels, outfitted with Hankook radials.
If you're looking to get behind the wheel of a bona fide muscle car aristocrat that's all ready to hit the street as soon as you get it home, you really should see this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro. Call today!
