Car description

The C4 Corvettes set new standards in the sportscar class with their good looks, improvements in handling, and quality of the interiors when they were introduced. Then they raised the bar even further with the introduction of the LT1 engine in '92. It's hard to find a better value in a sportscar purchase these days than a C4 Corvette. Enjoy the ride with this low mileage, super clean example.
Known for their sleek, modern looks when they were introduced, these cars still look good today. This one is painted in a rich looking, Polo Green that has obviously lead a well-loved life. The lines of the car are smooth, graceful, and clean. They are not disturbed by chrome, and the only badges are the checkered flag/Chevrolet on the hood and rear deck, and Corvette and an LT1 badge on the rear bumper. A tinted glass rear hatch was a new feature on the C4's that made access to the interior storage much easier, and blended perfectly with the body lines. It also makes it easy to stash the Targa roof this car came with when you want to let the sun shine in. Finish out the good looks with a set of the very desirable "sawblade" alloy wheels, and you have a car that you might enjoy washing almost as much as driving.
Almost. Until you open the door and set in those awesome seats. Upholstered in tan leather, they are comfortable, supportive, and power adjustable in every direction possible. Sitting in the driver's seat feels like being in the command center of a formidable machine. Which of course, you are. A steering wheel that both tilts and telescopes will let you find that perfect position and feel. As a modern classic, it includes air bags, as well as other built in safety systems like traction control (although there is a button to turn that off if you get the urge to play). An electronic dashboard with digital display has graphics for speed, RPM, and other critical engine functions. Controls for lights, cruise, and wipers, are right at your fingertips and easy to use. Of course, there are the expected modern conveniences like power windows and locks and an automatic climate control system that will keep you comfy, as well as an iPod compatible, Kenwood stereo to keep your ears happy.
'92 was the first year the LT1 engine was put in a production car. So, this car, as an all original, matching numbers car, should help it retain its collectability on paper. But driving it will ensure its collectability amongst enthusiasts. The engine is a well-known, 300 HP powerhouse, backed up by a 4-speed automatic trans that have proven their reliability through the years. What isn't as well known, or talked about as much on these cars, are the significant advances in handling, braking, and ride that were introduced in it. Start with a new chassis. No longer a strict "body on frame" like its predecessors, GM developed a "uniframe" that ties in the windshield frame, and rear portion of the floor pan, as structural members. Then, a completely redesigned independent suspension was developed, and all new brakes, with finned aluminum calipers were installed to make sure you could stop on a dime. All those advances work through 275/40ZR17 tires at all four corners mounted on those lightweight sawblade wheels.
This car is the total package. First year for the LT1. Super clean, well-cared for, low mileage. A great value. Come on down and take a ride to experience some of that value.
