Car description |
---|
This car has potential. It's solid. It looks like it has never seen a NY winter. Underneath, inside the trunk, and under the hood is surprisingly clean considering its age.
There is rust at the bottoms of the fenders and quarter panels. It's hard to see because the wide trim covers it. Very patch-able if desired.
It's a complete car. Virtually everything is there. There's no evidence that it was in a wreck. Or even a fender bender. Black interior, split bench seat.
Black vinyl top is undamaged but, there are signs of rust starting at the bottom corners of the rear window. The paint is not original or
the original color which was code 53, Placer Gold. It needs a repaint regardless of color preference. Turbo 350. 12 bolt rear end.
I had trouble getting the rear seat up perchance to find a build sheet. I don't know if the rear gear is posi. Originally, it came with a 350,
4 bbl. 175 hp. Inexplicably, that engine has been replaced by a '79 350 4bbl. 170 hp engine. (based on the engine code DRH) It starts right up and runs well. This survivor is completely roadworthy.
Note the headers, chrome valve covers, and air cleaner.
The factory options I noticed were: A/C (disconnected) P/S, P/B, front discs, bumper guards, rally wheels, instrument cluster clock, manual remote driver's mirror, and the radio also plays 8 track tapes!
I'll be happy to answer any questions and post picture requests.
This ol' girl needs a makeover. Fortunately, your project startup cost will be low because it's not a numbers matching car. Upon winning, I'm requesting a deposit. Next, you'll get to see her for yourself and confirm that my description is accurate and complete. If you decide it isn't, you can walk away with a full cash refund. Local pick up only unless discussed and agreed upon in advance of the end of the auction. Thanks, Steve
