UNRESERVED
For sale PRIVATELY by only the second owner.
Available to anyone in the United States, and WORLDWIDE (yes, we have experience!)
    • 1st family owned 40 years.
  • This was originally purchased in Vancouver, B.C., and, from what I could ascertain, used in the B.C. interior before coming to Alberta, to live rurally once again. It was always privately owned.
  • Vehicle is currently located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (about 3 hours north of the border).
    • It is domestic build, considered antique status, and... FREE TO TRAVEL WITHOUT RESTRICTION.
      • (Ebay does not have provision for people with multiple residences).
  • There is an incredible absence of corrosion considering this truck's age.
    • Asides from factory paint peel problem across the hood, the paint is in remarkable condition. Please examine the photos. There is barely evidence of gravel roads, despite the absence ofmudflaps (or holes indicating previous installation of such).
      • I chose not to have the hood repainted. Personal decision. Although not perfect, it's perfectly original. Items such as factory flaws do not always correlate with point deductions. (You may choose to have it painted, and I canaccommodate that before the truck departs for approx $600+materials. It's no problem and I am happy to assist).
  • Also, the truck is in incredible overall condition, considering it's super heavy dutyconfiguration.
    • Although very few of these now-collectible trucks were built in this configuration, FAR fewer survived;
      • As I understand, this was mainly due to their desirability as utilitarian "work-horses". 1-ton, regular cab, dually, four-wheel-drive pickups weren't normally personal transportation. This one was, as I understand, purchased as a summertime RV, to haul a camper. Most were worked hard, lived rough lives, and beat up onjob sites.
  • This truck retains near 100% of it's factory originality, and has never been compromised.
  • I would categorize this as a "survivor" collectible.
    • Only minor restoration work ever done was:
      • Refinishing of all 6 wheels to original. (Sandblasted to bare metal, then refinished).
      • Chrome lug nuts.
      • Professional rejuvenation of original blue paint finish. (Wetsanded, followed by tri-stage polish)
      • Super-thorough detailing of body/undercarriage/interior/underhood area.
        • Intent being, to be potentially shown against other similar-era trucks in un-restored "survivor" category judging.
  • Hagerty Collector Insurance values these eraChev/GMC trucks amongst the highest and fastest value risers forinvestment.
  • Furthering it's collectibility, is it's rare configuration.
    • This is amongst the heaviest duty models offered by GMC and/or Chevrolet for this model year.
      • 1-ton, regular cab, dually, Four wheel drive.
      • Additionally, it is also the "Camper Special".
        • Factory engine oil cooler, extra large trans. oil cooler, super heavy duty everything.
  • Drivetrain consists of it's:
    • Factory equipped 400 small block Chevy engine,
    • Near-indestructible Turbo 400 automatic transmission,
    • Strongest-of-the-strong New Process 205 transfer case,
    • Massive Dana 60 front differential,
    • And giant 14-bolt (with bolt-in pinion) rear differential.
      • Nothing fancy, nothing intricate... Just a venerable checklist of the heaviest duty and simplest options available.
  • These trucks were as simple as can be, and tough as they ever came. They were long-lasting, nearly maintenance-free, and phenomenally cheap to repair.

Owning this truck is better than money in the bank.... I am aware of this.It is rare version of a desirable truck. It's got decent collectibility, and really requires nothing to just enjoy.
An intense amount of time has gone into detailing and preserving it's originality and (although I hate to use the word...) "patina" to it's current status. Nothing has been hidden or masked. Any "patina" has been carefully enhanced to retain the character, and not disturb it's integrity of this truck's originality.
Because of otherpurchases, I am limited to juggling indoor storage space on a value-priority basis.
Please refer to our feedback... You will see how I have changed down our little collection and, you will see over a dozen comments from overjoyed buyers of other collector vehicles. My wife and I have liquidated quite a few cars last year, and the year prior. Thesevehicles went to happy new collectors across the United States, and destinations as far as Germany, Holland, New Zealand, and several to even theMiddle East.
Being domestic built, and over 25 years in age, means this truck isexempt from any import/export restrictions. It is a free to travel as a bird. If you buy this truck from us, my wife Sophia will be happy to take care of everything shipping related for you. She's developed some excellent contacts and become very good at this. Asides from taking care of the bank transfer, you'll hardly have to lift a finger.
Now, shy of writing an encyclopedia-type description, I think I've covered everything. If there's anything I've missed, or anything you would like to ask, please do not hesitate to write. I look forward to helping. I will offer my private email, just because sometimeseBay messages getinadvertently delayed. It is bravohomes@rocketmail.com. If you would like to speak in person, please let me know and we can even arrange that. Good communication is pivotal to happy dealings! I encourage discussion.
One last thing... NO ZERO-FEEDBACK buyers PLEASE. We've been defrauded several times. Also please, no dealings outside of eBay. I am not naive to scammers anymore, and do not wish to save pennies on fee's in order to jeopardize safety. eBay has excellent protection policies for buyers AND sellers. Yes -- Sellers get defrauded too! eBay protects us both. With 1 exception (an FBI agent who bought our Jeep "Jethro"), every single zero-feedback buyer has been insincere and left me having tore-list; often with a bad feedback that I've had to petition with evidence to get removed. We've worked very hard to gain the fabulous feedbacks we have from our new friends and amazing people, and I am immensely proud of every single one!
As a final-final-final thought....We are taking a big chance bylisting this truck UNRESERVED. I am hoping that it narrows down the bidder pool to only super-serious and genuine buyers. Please, please... Write to me, call me, message, email. I will reply or answer quickly, informatively, and happily. Don't worry about being bothersome.... I'm always up for some "car-talk" with a fellow enthusiast. Your bid is a contract to buy; not to consider, reconsider, and then ignore. I'd rather answer honestly and describe accurately than have a "misunderstanding" afterwards. I cannot stress enough... Look at the feedback comments from people that bought from us. I promise to be Mr. Helpful for you too !!!

On Feb-06-18 at 08:24:20 PST, seller added the following information:

As aforementioned in this description.... NO ZERO FEEDBACK BUYERS please.
If you are new to eBay, have a 0-feedback rating, and still (despite my requests) bid on my item....I will cancel your bid.
This is due to countless bad experiences.

I listed this truck unreserved. Most items I've ever listed have been unreserved. I'm not a professional salesman that will fight for every penny. Matter of fact, I will happily leave dollars on the table to avoid grief and aggravation. You can bet that we'll do whatever it takes to make this a happy and easy transaction.
