I have a 1953 Chevrolet Model 150 2 Door Sedan up for auction. This car was built as you see it here about 12 years ago. 10 years ago a friend of mine bought from the shop that built it and owned it until I bought it from him about a year ago. He always stored it inside when not being used for car shows. Was driven very little in the time he had it. When he bought the car it had fender skirts on it (I still have the skirts and go with the car). 2 years ago he bought the chrome wheels on it now and the new radial tires. Tires have less then 4000 miles on them. The 53 has a 292 Chevy inline 6 out of a 70'S chevy pickup coupled to the original 3 speed transmission. Engine runs great. Has a home built split exhaust manifold with dual exhaust and straight pipes (no mufflers). I'm 61 years old and I think the car makes the old school sound like it would of in the old days. Exhaust was new 3 years ago. Chevy is a lot of fun in parades. Has the original 3 speed on the column shifter. It was rebuilt and shifts like new. Steering wheel is in excellent condition and horn button works like it should. Complete interior has been redone and nice. Dash paint is beautiful. Trim around windows has been repainted also. Heater has been by passed as the heater control inside was stuck on hot. All new weather stripping around doors and trunk lid. Doors open and close very good. Inside of trunk has been finished also. Miles are 85940 and supposed to be accurate for the body. Body of car was very solid before restore. Was stripped of most of the chrome it had and painted as seen in pictures. There are very few chips in the paint. Paint is very nice on the car and body is very straight. Door jams. inside of trunk and under hood were all painted to match the car. There are no bubbles anywhere in paint. Floors and underside of car are very solid also. Was converted to 12 volt. Everything works on the Chevy except the gas gauge and passenger wiper. Last owner said the cable that works it slipped off the pulley. All windows are good. Even the back-up lights work. Tailights are 1954. The Chevy drives down the road like a 53 Chevy should. Stops like a 53 Chevy would. Only differance is with the radials it is very smooth. Steering is tight. Anything the car needed when restored got replaced. Runs very cool even in parades. Draws attention where ever you go. I drove the car about 3000 miles this summer with no problems. No leaks under it. I had a hip replaced last spring so I made brackets to move the seat back so I could drive the car over the summer. No extra holes were drilled or anything changed to affect the seat. Simply unbolt my brackets and bolt the seat in it's original holes. This is a turn key car that needs nothing to drive it dependable down the road. Title is clear in my name. I have taken several extra pictures. If you would like to see them please email me. I will help load the Chevy. It will sit in my building until you pick it up. Please email me with questions. Only bid if you have the funds to afford the car. Before you bid make sure this is the car for you. OK lets enjoy this auction. Thanks for looking at my Chevy!!!
