Attention Corvair Lovers,There's nothing worse that driving your pride and joy with a shabby, cracked or otherwise imperfect steering wheel. It's what you hold onto every mile of the way, so make sure it looks and feels at least as good as the rest of your car.
This black steering wheel was in fabulous condition when I got it, but the shine had become dull in parts, so I had the wheel taken all the way down, epoxy-primed, and then painted professionally with the most durable gloss black paint available, going for that factory-fresh look.
I was delighted with the results, when, wouldn't you know it, someone turned me on to an accessory wheel that I like even better. My insanity, your gain. This car hobby is for the seriously demented.
The horn ring is beautiful, not all pitted or peeling, and the horn assembly and directional cancelling cam work perfectly. The plastic insert for the horn ring assembly reads "Monza" so it will be suitable for either a Spyder or a Monza. (As you know, all Spyders were also Monzas)
Upgrade your Corvair with the first thing anyone sees when jumping in your ride. Your wheel. Safe and happy driving.
